Yahoo Sports' Jordan Shultz reports the Dallas Cowboys "plan to select" SMU WR Courtland Sutton today.

The Cowboys have been long rumored to draft Sutton as the replacement for Dez Bryant. They hold the No. 50 overall pick and could potentially be forced to trade up to select him with the Colts and Cardinals both in the market for wide receivers. The Colts have three picks (36, 37, 49) before the Cowboys next selection and have a good chance of taking him before the Cowboys even get a chance to trade up. Despite the Cowboys blatant and well-known interest for Sutton, it isn't a sure-fire thing he lands there.

I really don't enjoy going to games very much anymore. I used to attend a lot of games but I've just grown tired of how crowded it, the stress with getting in/out of the parking areas, and the cost. I like to watch multiple games at once and at my house I can have a game on my 120" projector, 60" TV next to the projector screen, and 32" TV over my bar. I might attend 1 or 2 games this year but I have little desire to go to more than that.

That's completely understandable, I do the same as you w/NFL games, I enjoy the amp of the crowd, especially the night games.

I renewed our tickets near the 10 yard line. Same seats since the new stadium for the University of Houston opened in 2014.

When the news broke, I knew eventually the Louisville President would do this, I didn't think it would've happen as quickly as it did cause of him having the naming rights till 2040.

So in recent years I've done a College Pick'Em league on Yahoo. While it was fun, Yahoo has FINALLY announced the first College Football Fantasy league. I've decided I would much rather do that over Pick'Em.

Lots of chatter on the USC boards that incoming true freshman JT Daniels will start for the Trojans in 2018. Daniels was the Gatorade Male National Athlete of the Year.



I don't view the above cover photo to adhere the dreaded SI Cover jinx, because he isn't wearing a Trojan uniform.

I hope that he can adjust to the college game quickly as an 18 year old. Time will tell.

There's been a lot of weird bowl sponsors over the years but the new sponsor of the Bahamas Bowl might be the weirdest. The Bahamas Bowl will now be sponsored by Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and the bowl will be named the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl. Per the press release:

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Text messages I have obtained, an exclusive interview with the victim and other information I have learned shows Ohio State coach Urban Meyer knew in 2015 of domestic abuse allegations against a member of his coaching staff.

Courtney Smith, ex-wife of fired Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith, provided text messages between her and the wives of Ohio State coaches – including Urban Meyer’s wife, Shelley – showing Meyer’s knowledge of the situation.

Meyer said last week during Big Ten Media Days that he had no knowledge of two alleged domestic violence incidents in 2015 with former assistant wide receivers coach Zach Smith that were investigated by the Powell (Ohio) Police Department.

Meyer said had he known, he would have fired Smith in 2015 – three years before he did last week after I reported the alleged domestic violence.

On a side note Brett McMurphy broke this story on his Facebook page because even though ESPN laid him off in 2017 (along with hundreds of others) he's still getting paid by them for the remainder of his contract. If he took another job ESPN would be off the hook for the remainder of his buyout so he's breaking huge stories for free on Facebook rather than ESPN even though ESPN is still paying him.
