I'm just not much of a stealth, sneaky sneaky, kinda guy and I figured the Hunter wasn't really either, given his Gunslinger sub-class, but really he's designed to dodge and cover, chipping enemies down and supporting rather than really directly fighting/capturing/supporting. I'm the unsung hero of every match as I have an atrocious kill to death ratio but always the most assists. I find both of his Supers devastating but completely impractical as well. My friend doesn't really understand because he sees people online at like level 34 who just own every match with Hunter class set ups but it really isn't easy to play like that, it takes a massive amount of skill which I don't possess. I can keep practicing but if it isn't really built for how I naturally play and problem solve we're never going to get anywhere, I basically gave up on the Blade subclass all together due to this. The amount of armour and defence I had to sacrifice for speed was just too much for me. The Hunter is too soft already.

I'm not a particularly technical sort of player, so I prefer something a little straight forward, a class that can take a kick from a mule and still go swinging. Someone who I can use to charge headfirst into battle with, shooting and asking questions later. That is what I assumed Gunslinger would be but that actually seems more like the Titan, I guess.

The Warlock has some amazing finishers though, even more so with the DLC.

A really interesting Video about Destiny. It's almost 15 minutes.

The buffs on Monday are ridiculous! Got 1331 rep just for turning in Iron Wrath bounty which was great since first one I completed. Got me mere points away from Level five. Anyways got both Titans to level 5 and Warlock to level 3. Didn't start to playing until Saturday night so pretty good. Much less of a grind when you start later in week. Got a bunch of legendary guns which I have no clue if any good or not.

good for what? PvE, PvP, both?

the phrase "is it good" is somewhat meaningless these days since you can reforge most legendary weapons (perks and elemental burns) to try and fit your playstyle/needs

that said SS is one of the highest impact fusions in the game with its base stats
personally the vanguard sold Give/Take Equation is a bit better with its higher aim assist

here is a good guide ... though with most focus on PvP builds

I am thinking of using it in conjunction with The Last Word for PvP.

How did you get it?

Like I said in the same post, those who have mastered the class are in a whole other league but I haven't got that level of skill, nor do I know if practicing will actually be beneficial.

there's no skill involved when it comes to blade dancing. they are the bane of everyone's existence in the crucible.

if you round a corner and there's a blade-dancer coming at you.......you basically stop what you're doing and just accept the inevitable......b/c 9 times out of 10......you're going to die.

Really? Whenever I play as that class it takes so long for the power to activate I seem to always die before I actually get to use it. I seem to have better luck with Golden Gun but it lasts so much less than the Blade one I barely ever land the actual shots. I'm very jealous of Warlock's and Titan's who just get one big attack they can just drop into crowds.

I thought there was no skill to blade dancing. There is. The "drop out of the sky" move is my favorite, followed by the "blink around a corner to chase" then the "razor's edge into a Titan bubble". If you can master jump-blinking as a blade dancer, you can clear an entire control zone without dying, since usually you'll die from damage at the end of your blade dance.

But the only thing that drops a blade dancer beside a super is a well placed, perfectly timed shotgun to the face.

Get armor with more Intellect. The higher your intellect, the faster your Super powers up. The higher your Discipline, the faster your Grenade recharges. The higher your Strength, the faster your Melee power recharges.

The skill I have yet to master is blinking out of a rocket.

Had my best game in IB ever last night. I believe I went 23-2 on the burning shrine (Mercury) map with only Thorn,Matador, and BTRD. Ended up with an 11.5 K/D lol, definitely NOT normal. My wife must have slipped me a limitless pill or something in my coffee haha. I uploaded it to FB but it's set to be viewed by specific friends as I don't want to broadcast Playstation games on my account

If I figure out how to manually link it i'll post it as well.

I guess once I get Blink and upgrade my intelligence, I'll start seeing the Blade form for what it is truly worth.

As a former 3-hunter user, you're nuts. Bladedancer is clutch in PoE and CE, and there's few better orb makers than a Golden Gun!

Made it to IB rank 5 last night for the first time. Funny enough, I only played solo yesterday and I don't think my teams lost a single match other than the losing match I joined mid game when I started playing. I had some really awesome performances too, and I felt less pressure than I did when playing in a full party. Was just so incredibly odd that I was constantly on the winning side, contributing as well mind you, and playing real calm. When I am calm I play so much better.

As for Blade Bancing, Activate it away from the enemy then surprise them. Having said that. I prefer golden gun. With the extra golden gun round from Achliophage Symbiote, I have melted many a face.

I also disagree that Blade Dancing takes zero skill, yes you mash one button, but being unpredictable separates an ok Blade Dancer to one which can wreck an entire team. I steered away from it, as I get more kills with Golden Gun because it fits my play style better.

I frequently die on purpose just so hunters and warlocks can revive me. It makes them feel useful.

You guys are, big, slow lumbering tanks.

And I say this is a 3-week Titan user now. Maybe it's just playstyle. Sure you can take more damage, and you have that cool bubble.

Titans are the P47s of the Destiny world. Hunters are the P51s. Warlocks are the P38s. If that makes sense. Ric will probably get this.
