well the templates are in psd files for photoshop, but if you just take the template size from the second link, you should be able to create your own using the length x width plus spine size.

I'm trying to create a set of covers for the Viva Elite 6-disc cases. What I want to do should be really simple, but I have no experience with this. I've already got the Viva Elite .psd template for Photoshop. The template is layered but I haven't worked with layers in Photoshop before. I plan to scan the front, back and spine of a cardboard blu-ray set and use those images in the template. I'm not doing anything fancy - I just want the scanned front image to be the front, the back image to be the back, and the spine to remain the spine. basically I just want to drag and drop the images into the template for the front, back and spine, nothing fancy.
Is there a guide to do this? I tried Google but lots of the guides are very complicated and deal with advanced techniques I won't be using here. I just want to put my discs in the Viva Elite cases to get them out of the cardboard sleeves, and I want to use the cardboard case artwork for my Viva Elite cases. Any tips would be appreciated if somebody could point me in the right direction. |

Anyone have a scan of Stray Cat rock sized for a single disc case? I only plan on keeping the Blu-ray's and want to store them in a single sized Blu-ray case Also does anyone have covers for any of these? I am getting rid of the steelbooks but still need regular covers for them. ![]() These have taken me over a week to complete, and I'm happy with how they look.
You can download these covers from my blog in a .ZIP file that has all 6 covers for each film and a separate cover for the bonus material. NOTE: I made the covers for the original trilogy to be branded as "The Original Cut" for the Despecialized Editions of Star Wars that are available elsewhere. ![]() |

EDIT: I updated the download link on my blog what now includes the Special Editions as separate covers. That makes one ZIP file with 10 covers inside.

So, while I would LOVE to create my own custom blu ray covers, I can't seem to find some good software that's compatable with Windows 10, and even if I did, it's doubtful I possess the photoshop skills neccesary to make them (any helpful advice from those in the know would be greatly appreciated).
That being said, this past weekend, I aqquired used blu rays for 'Cradle 2 The Grave' and 'The Island Of Dr. Moreau' (1997). The cover art for Cradle is horrible and lazy (always has been), and I think the original poster art is far better. I wonder if anyone has ever, or would ever take a stab at making a cover based on the original poster, possibly the same for 'Romeo Must Die'. The more ambitious one would be Moreau. Has anyone thought to do a cover which combines the film disc with the recent 3 disc documentary 'Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey Of Richard Stanley's The Island Of Dr Moreau'? I think that would make for a pretty outstanding package. At any rate, I know it sounds trivial (especially Cradle, a guilty pleasure of an action movie if ever there was one), but I'm just curious to know if anyone has, or would, ever taken a stab at making these. |
