One of my cousins works for a telecommunications contractor that does a lot work for the only isp here. I saw him at the gas station and he was on his way to lay out 4 kilometres of fibre optic able that someone had mistakenly severed. I asked how long, he said 4 hours to do the line then it’s in the isp’s hands.

You should see the havoc it’s wreaking. Debit is barely working or is down. At Tim’s they said to come back and pay after. The lineups I’ve been are incredibly slow. I went to the bank to get cash and that took a couple of attempts. It sucks to have cash, but be stuck behind people who don’t and keep trying debit until it goes through. 😠
On the bright side, instead of being inside, I’ve taken my dog for a swim and nice walk. I’ve got several movies that I’ve been meaning to watch as well. With no cable or Netflix atm, it’s good that I’ve got a wack of movies to choose from.

Thinking about buying a Switch again. I have this horrible habit where I purchase things and use them for a little while, then I go and sell it if I don't use it regularly enough. I already did this with the Switch after Breath of the Wild/Let's Go Pikachu and of course, as usual, I regret it now that Fire Emblem is releasing in two weeks. I'm thinking it's time to bite the bullet one last time and be done with the whole rebuying and reselling crap. It makes no sense. Especially when I don't need the money that I'd get from selling after I complete something.

Was about to board a plane back home when they announced the aircraft has mechanical problems. I don't know if I want to get on this plane when they fix the issue. I'm gonna be on pins and needles for 3+ hours

Yeah one. And they do, do an extent.
They have a monopoly and the Gov't backs that. Something about supporting Northern businesses. Telus and Rogers can't come up here.

I’m thinking about what kind of sales both Target and Walmart will be having tomorrow. Considering that they will be in competition with Amazon Prime on Monday and Tuesday. Well, I will be working tomorrow and I will definitely be perusing their websites throughout the day.

Hoping someone contacts me and schedules an interview or follow up. Pretty sure that sister location to the 2 no shows isn’t going to be calling to schedule that ride along. Unlike my wife, I’m not shedding a tear. On a side note, what’s everyone’s thoughts on applications that ask for a social security number before an interview or job offer?

Hoping my brother finds some free time this week or this weekend at the latest to help me put in a new window regulator and motor. Super annoying having my window taped up. I'd do it myself, but I don't have the necessary tools and he's a mechanic, he can replace it in no time flat.

Also, Prime Day(s) couldn't have come at a worse time. Not able to take advantage of any deals until my next paycheck.

I don't think I've had one but stating the SSN before a job offer would be weird.

Happy I avoided any and all Amazon Prime Day activities. There's nothing I really needed (and to a lesser extent, wanted), so I just avoided the site at all costs and kept what little money I have.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I heard back from Frito Lay via email giving me a nope. All in all, I thought it was a good interview, but the wrong job. I definitely don’t disagree on the SSN, but they’d be doing my credit good if it was a scam to get my personal information

I been talking to this girl for a few months now.

The topic of movies came up.

I asked what are her favorite movies.

Her response, "anything with dinosaurs and realistic quality."

So I said, "name me a movie with realistic quality."

She answers, "Jurassic Park movies."

I don't know what to do. Part of me is all "yay...she loves dinosaurs!" while the other half is thinking, "Christ....there's more to cinema than Jurassic Park."

Sounds like a good problem to have honestly. Use it as an excuse to show her other dino-related movies and then start showing her other stuff. Just don't fall into the trap of ONLY watching movies with her lol; variety is a good thing.

Talk about a rough week and then THIS happens...

Your boss actually communicates that he will be out for two days and you get happy. Then the following morning, he's online once you log in when he's supposed to be out and you're bummed. Then he logs out after a few hours and you're happy again. Then you expect that the remainder of the day is gonna be a breeze, BUT due to the boss (and a few select others) being out, everyone decides to come out of the woodwork asking important questions that need be addressed immediately and then you look at the clock and it's only 2-ish...on Thursday...and you're like I give up.
