Not really. Atheist is the most knowledgeable when it comes to all religions. So I think you don't NEED to be in a gang to know it. The irony in this FACT (there was a poll that showed this recently) is that the "anti-religion" group takes the time to learn and understand other people's beliefs (cults, gangs, $ maker, fear maker, whatever you want to call it) instead of hard-headed ways of going about "I grew up a *insert religion here* so all others is wrong, just cause!". So I think people can "understand" this movie, while not being a "Christian".

I'm not trying to attack you or your religion as I am not living your life as in turn I hope you don't want to control other's lives. We all might have different views on things (if they were forced on us as a child or learned as we got older), but to believe in something (that is religion right? Just guesses and believing, unless you really think you have proof on something). All man made, and most hope that one is right. Some people choose to give their life to religion and some choose to do other things.

Me personally, I'm not an Atheist. That to me is just another man made group. I don't care if it is against it or not. It's the same. Just another label or name. I just live my life. I feel if there is a right religion out there, wouldn't God want you to live your life and not follow man made strict groups all of your life? I just don't know, but thats how I feel.

Edit: Just saw Beta's post. Sorry, but let me have my post and then end it. Please don't delete this as it has an even playing field and deleting it will show a bias towards a religion. Thank you.

What kind of case does the Criterion Benjamin Button come in? I saw it in a normal blue blu case a couple days ago. I thought Barnes and Noble just had it in the Criterion section on accident, but it was for sure a Criterion cover. Is this the norm, or does it come in different types of cases?

I'm not going to buy it, but it just felt odd placed in with all the other criterion movies.

It has only been released in the blue case. It was the first two disc blu ray from criterion. More recent two disc sets came in cardboard fold out cases, similar to the dvd releases, just smaller in size. And the case isn't the only thing that makes it stick out like a sore thumb in the criterion section.

It comes in a normal Blu-ray case..... Criterion did a joint-release with Paramount or whoever it was..... and apparently didn't have a say (or at least their say didn't matter enough) so that release is basically only Criterion in name. Fantastic AQ/PQ and a wealth of extras...... I enjoyed the film

EDIT:

Forgot that it was the first 2-disc CC release as pointed out.... I'm not sure that's why it's in a blue case though.... perhaps Paramount didn't like the idea of releasing it in a Digipack that Criterion has used ever since for their 2-disc (and beyond) sets.

There are a couple of Criterion blu-rays I NEED that are out of stock at Barnes and Noble locations in my area, however, they are available through BN.com. No problem, but I notice in store they apply the 10% member discount on top of the 50% sale. Online, however, they don't apply the member discount... the individual sale price for most titles remain at $19.99
How do I get the member discount applied to my online order, or is not possible? Please advise...

Really wish Criterion would release more horror movies. As of now on BD they have out-
-Antichrist
-Cronos 12/7
-House
-Repulsion
-Videodrome 12/7

Did Criterion release more horror on DVD that haven't been put on BD?

With a lot of their films, whether they are horror or not can really be stretched either way, i.e. I wouldn't call Antichrist or Hausu horror, but can see how someone else would.

Ya, they have a lot of films that could be considered horror in the DVD Collection. Off the top of my head -- Dead Ringers, The Blob, The Silence of the Lambs, Salo, Carnival of Souls, Eyes Without A Face. Surely more.

I 100% agree, though, as horror is my favorite genre. There are so many good ones that have came out in the past few years in Europe and I'm surprised none have made it to the Collection.

I asked the sales lady that same thing, and she said the web already discounts you the member benefits. When i told her that was NOT the case, she didn't know. So I'm assuming you can't get the extra 10% that you can in-store.

Just have them order it into the store. They put it on hold with your name. Then you can get the 10% and also use the $5 off in store coupon.

So could I use that 25% and the $5 coupon together on a Criterion? Sorry if these have been answered but I've been deprived of comp time lately.
