i'm hoping my paycheck tomorrow is decent enough to buy plenty of food...and maybe a couple other things i want.

AND...i'm hoping that the new position at work, that includes full-time hours and a raise, will afford me some extra money so i can finally buy a shotgun. i've been wanting one for so long but never had the money...

It's understandable seeing 1 or 2 cars without headlights on around 8 p.m. People forget, I've done it too. Yesterday though, on my way home at maybe 8:15 p.m. I spotted 4 cars. Weird.

I guess invisible moons are the best moons, then. Apparently they make people a little nutty.

I can't get over just how overly friendly this town is. Its like everyone knows each other. I was born & raised in a city where everyone pretty much minded their own business for safety reasons so this is all new to me. While its nice to see such a close knit, welcoming community its still alarming to think that my neighbors are literally watching every move we make. Maybe they're not but it seems like it, just the other day I ran into the guy down the road and he was asking me why I leave in the middle of the night. This is the type of town that rolls up the sidewalks at 8:00 nightly, I simply told him I was going to work, and that led to questions like "at 1 in the morning, what do you do, sell drugs?" I just left it at that, I didn't feel the need to explain anything to him, like the fact that I have a little over 2hr commute and start at 3:30am. I've been talking to My Wife about possibly getting a cheap motel room near work for during the week and going home on weekends, but she's afraid of rumors spreading about us having an unnatural relationship..

Yeah, that’s small town bullshit. We deal with it a little less now, but I’ve had similar questions ask of me. The last time it was someone asking how many people live in our house because of the amount of cars we had at the time. I still need to get rid of the Mountaineer, but with the upheaval in the house I almost want to get it repaired so I have a vehicle if we split.

I have a couple of cousins and friends who are way too nosey. One in particular likes to gossip about others quite a bit. When she asks me questions at Walmart or the grocery store, I usually lie (mildly). With her, I should amp it up and make the lies atrocious.

screw 'em. people are gonna think what they're gonna think; regardless of what you do or say. so you may as well do what you want, when you want, and how you want.

My 3-month Costco return policy is up on my Vizio PQ65 a week from tomorrow so after putting it through it's paces for the past 90 days, I'm ready to set this sucker up in it's rightful and kingly spot in the living room and relegate my tried and true 50" Panny plasma to the master bedroom. Such a sad existence for such a kick ass TV and a part of me feels like it has a soul a la Toy Story but it will live out it's golden years projecting schlock like 19 & Counting and 16 & Pregnant for the wifey at night.
