Maybe next week...Black Friday. I’m not spending $40 for a movie unless of course if it’s Wonder Woman 1984 in 3 D, then I’ll stand in line to give them my money.

Over the past 3 nights, we watched How To Train Your Dragon I, II, and III and was very impressed with the story, characters, the very complex, realistic animation (there are dragons flying everywhere!) and the 3D – no, there's aren't many pop-outs, which I'm not that big on anyway, but there's a great sense of depth. The complex dragon battle scenes in II are amazing and the flying sequences in all three are Avatar quality. III was nominated for Best Animated Feature but lost out to Toy Story 3. Highly recommend.

I just watched Enchanted Kingdom 3D the other night. This is an amazing looking 3D presentation. If you enjoy nature documentaries I would definitely go for it.
The opening prologue was underwhelming, I’m pretty sure it was in 2D on purpose. As soon as the movie switches from the city to nature, I was blown away. The helicopter shots give a sensation of vertigo that is very thrilling and the landscapes are really beautiful. Lots of depth and dimensionality, a surprising amount of pop-up for a documentary. We see nature from various scales, and this variety keeps it from dragging. It is bright and colorful and they cover many different regions of Africa from rainforests to deserts to snow and water. Last night I also saw Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters. The 3D isn’t as good as Enchanted Kingdom, and I know half of it is converted but I couldn’t really tell when and where. It was a consistent 3D experience that was clearly shot with 3D in mind as there are many pop-outs. It’s a fun movie like Drive Angry with a cool steampunk aesthetic, and Gemma Arterton is incredibly gorgeous in this film. |

I watched the trilogy last week too. Didn't have high expectations as I previously had only seen the first part in theaters in 2D and did not care for it. Really glad I gave it a second chance in 3D. It got better and better!

Rewatched Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Still found the movie to be enjoyable, found the 3D to be same layers as the first film which had medium layers, glad to have this movie in 3D and i don't regret importing this film, a real shame the 3D version is only released in Japan and that the 3D disc only available via a 4K/3D combo pack. |

Oh this is a great thread. Just discovered it.
I'm totally into 3D after readjusting my projector settings recently to get the best 3D pq possible. Have just ordered a bunch of 3D blu-rays from Germany and UK. Stumbled upon Amazon.de 3 for 2 offer cuz I wanted to get Gemini Man 3D badly. And I've just watched Tangled in 3D, 10 years after watching it in 2D only in the cinema. It's a whole different movie in 3D. The quality is so good I found myself totally immersed in the 3D and the story, and totally enjoyed it until unfortunately the disc froze midway through the movie and skipped all the way to the end credits. This disc is from the kimchidvd edition which I had just opened. Utterly disappointing. So I quickly got the newer US disc which was released in 2016 to replace the faulty kimchidvd disc. On starting the new disc, it is immediately noticeable that it is brighter but at the expense of a raised black level. Black looks grey now, and the whole picture is garish and inferior in contrast to the old disc. I changed my 3D gamma setting from Graphics to Film to counter the increased brightness of the new disc. But it still doesn't look as good as the old disc because of the raised black level. I think studios should not attempt to make a brighter 3D disc at the expense of the pciture's black level. Contrast in 3D has to be as good as in 2D for the best 3D experience. |

Watched R.I.P.D. It was a lot better than I expected, cross between M.I.B. and Ghostbusters. 3D was very good. Recommended.First time I wanted to see Jeff naked.
