Sugar Bowl: Georgia (-13.5) vs. Texas

Hoping UF plays UCF. Getting old losing to Michigan every couple of years. I want a new team to lose to.

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Oklahoma
5. Georgia
6. Ohio State

I can't say enough how Top 4 is so damn stupid, and if they don't expand it, they're going to piss a lot of people off. I HATE this system.

Look up all the stat comparisons between OSU and OK, and OSU is much more deserving.

And all this talk about Georgia even being considered... two loss tem! They already lost to Alabama just yesterday! No one had this thought a few years ago when Penn State (B1G Champs) didn't get in, but Ohio State did. Both OSU and Penn State should have gone that year.

And ND, undefeated as they are, no champions though (), do not impress me one bit.

Should be eight teams. All five conference champions, top group of five school, and two wildcards.

*teams should play nobody but conference opponents during regular season
*move conference championship games to 2 weeks after regular season
*playoffs start 4 weeks after conf. champ. games

also, stop coming up with more and more bowl games and allowing teams that have losing records (5-7) to go to a bowl game. this is college...participation trophies shouldn't be a thing. hell, i even have apprehension about letting a 6-6 team go to a bowl game. being 6-6 just means you were mediocre enough to win as many games as you lost. but that's all just my opinion and doesn't amount to much.
If that happened non-BCS conference teams would still get screwed out of playoff spots because they can't play a power 5 team to boost their SOS. Unless you're suggesting a spot be reserved for a minor conference team.

With one spot reserved for the highest ranked non-power five, smaller conference team.

That’s what I meant by group of five.

They’ve corrected it, but when I first looked at ESPN, their link said the four teams were Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Alabama.

UCF finished behind Michigan in the final playoff rankings. What a joke.

Looks like UCF vs. LSU in Fiesta Bowl though, so that should be a great game to watch.

I wonder where they would be if they used the old BCS computer ranking?

I thought it was cool when I went to downtown Orlando and saw a banner with UCF National Champs on it. I saw shirts around town too. I posted some pics in this thread for their fans to see.

But until recently, I had no idea they put a permanently affixed 2017 National Champions display inside their stadium. That's just crazy. UCF has never won a National Championship and strength of schedule definitely matters.

I met him at a sports trivia contest about 5 years ago that me and my brother ended up winning and he interviewed us after the contest and he was so drunk when he interviewed us, he was sweaty and slurring his words it was so funny I tried to keep my composure the best I could knowing he was pretty wasted.

There's a guy who still estimates BCS rankings. This hasn't been updated since week 13, two weeks ago, but the BCS formula tracked very closely to the playoff ranking. UCF shows up #8 in the computer rankings, though they'd probably be up to 7 now, ahead of Michigan.

Technically no FBS team has really ever “officially” won a national championship since they are still the only college sport without an NCAA sanctioned postseason.
