I like the season so far. Jennifer Carpenter is great. I used to hate her in the first seasons but she is now really good in the role of Debra.

The scene when Harrisson ate the whole box of red popsicle was really stupid and unecessary, like Hannah's father, Quinn's girlfriend, etc.

I still enjoy the show but a lot of scenes and sub-plots are pointless since season four ended.

Let's hope it doesn't end with Dexter getting hit by a bus. I don't feel any tension yet and we should, this is the final season!

Quinn is not the sharpest tool in the shed. There's a reason Matthews scoffed at Angel's suggestion that he be made a sergeant. And unfortunately when a semi-intelligent cop does figure out the truth about Dexter(LaGuerta and Doakes), they wind up dead.

So far this season is ok, but it better pick up soon. Part of the problem is they're going with another Big Bad which is fine, but they're keeping the identity a secret which leaves it up to the rest of the cast to maintain interest in the storyline. Unfortunately Deb is bordering on annoying, Quinn is still a moron, Jamie is a real pain in the ass and totally superfluous, Angel is merely ok, Matthews is a lot less intriguing without LaGuerta to play off of, and Masuka has been given nothing to do.

I like the Dexter/Vogel relationship, but that's not enough to fill a 50-minute episode.

If it doesn't? You know you'll watch it all the way through. It's the last season so it's not like you can voice your opinion by not tuning in next year.

I'll tune in obviously. I'd have to stick with it through most of the season before I even know it ever will pick up. But it would be a shame if it went out limping, especially after it bounced back last year.

My friends were at the Dexter panel at San Diego Comic Con. Lithgow sent a taped message and from all accounts it was a lot of fun! Doakes was even there!

That would kill the series for a lot of people.

I think Quinn will remain an idiot... but Batista will pickup on the clues that Quinn has right in front of him.

I think that why Jamie is magically sleeping with Quinn this season, and Batista is being all buddy with him. Had to find a way for Batista to figure everything out.

Even if he's an idiot Quinn will link the confession of Deb to Dexter being the BHB.

I think Batista and Quinn are being all budies because they've been partners for a while and it's clear that Batista tries desperatly to help Quinn to put is act together.

I have the feeling Dexter and Deb will both die in the finale not get caught.

Maybe it's just me.

I don't think it will be a happy ending for Dexter. Either him, or someone close to him will die.

I brought up Batista only because he seems like he is the only left who is smart enough to catch Dexter. If the writers do go the way of someone catching Dexter, then I think would have to be Batista. I for one would feel kind of cheated if some random character is brought in for a few episodes and she/he is the one who catches Dexter.

Also, I don't want Dexter end up on the table of some new psychopath... but I can see them going that route too.

I could see Dexter dying in the end with Deb taking over responsibility for raising Dexter's son, only to realize that in the finale Harrison begins showing early signs of being a psychopath. Thus the circle is complete and Deb is faced with the same dilemma Harry once faced with Dexter.

The ratings have been way too high (and constantly growing) for the past few seasons for us to fool ourselves into thinking that Showtime would to want to kill Dexter. I'd have a lot of respect for them if they did something like that, but I just don't see it happening yet. The show is really at the height of its popularity. I hope some serious sh*t will go down this season, but he'll make it out alive so that they can make a movie (or possibly a miniseries) later on down the line.
