I have never been able to perfect the art of parrying. Sure I can fire the gun but they almost never get staggered.

If you can play this, you can play Souls. I don't know where all the shame in cooperative play comes from. If they did not want you to play that way, they would not have put it in there. In Souls, you have more tools at your disposal, and you know when help is available to be summoned.

Never been able to parry as far as I can tell, unless it's an interrupt with a gunshot.
I'm not sure how much more I can take it. Even looking at the guide book is daunting at his point and I feel as though I've bare scratched the surface of the game. So at this point with Witcher 3 coming out I'm not sure how much more abuse I can take. |

It took me 8 hours a day, 7 straight days doing nothing but running back & forth from the fountain to chest to fountain etc.. Last level costs around 4.8 million. |

No, it shouldn't make you angry. You don't need to be level 544 to play the game, and you shouldn't be level 544 if you want to learn how to play the game better. I might be angry with myself for spending 60 hours applying the exploit, though.

I've been thinking about the beginning of the game..
Since NG+ I see the wolf that I guess is supposed to kill you first encounter. Well before finishing the game the first time I fought the Wolf a few times bringing its Heath down to 1/4 left. Now every game starts with the Wolf at 1/4 health. How do you guys interpret the opening of the game with the Wolf? It is possible to escape the Wolf & not die & return to Hunter's Dream via the first lamp you light. |

Why why why can somebody tell me why these boss fights NEVER play out in the actual game the same way they do in the YouTube videos? Taking on Ebrietas and all these videos show people hitting her in a safe spot by her belly. Yet in that same spot I keep on getting hit by her attacks.
I seriously wonder if From Software takes note of these cheesing videos and patches out the methods to beat them. My method of beating Ebrietas wasn't really cheesing. But I could not stay underneath her belly long enough to do damage. |

This rapidly showed a pretty big bug that plagued the game until recently (and probably still) which is an alleged memory leak. Said memory leak, after a dozen or so hours of the game running, will directly impact Mob and Bosses behavior, reducing the number of moves available to them, and at times also making their behavior more erratic (less relentlessly agressive) and slower. This has been made evident by the vastly different NPC behaviors in many videos vs what players had experienced while starting the game "fresh". In my experience, there is also the possibility of a "behavior script pattern" change. Case in point the Pthumerian Descendant in the Defiled Pthumerian Chalice. One day, I spent about 2-4 hours wiping on him, and farming consumables to get back to it. The next day (after turning the PS4 off and starting fresh, so no memory leak possible), he was a cakewalk, wasted him 1st try. So maybe I was less tired and I also had gotten better from my previous sessions, but I could swear that the boss himself was not behaving the same way and was far easier to gun parry, and seemed less agressive too. So there 's also the possibility of a random behavior pattern kicking in imo. |
