The 88 Films sale was excellent. I picked up some titles I had been wanting to get for a while as well as some new releases and pre-orders. Great savings with the sale. I don't mind waiting 1-2 months to receive them, either.

Completely normal in their shop. They always just do that with a lot of pre-releases that aren't yet available to actually pre-order yet.

I mean, someone could order it of course, but they'd pay that price.

Signal One Entertainment Summer Sale starts tomorrow (7/31) at 7pm U.S. eastern. Looks like some good prices, 5 British Pounds is currently $6.42. As always check reviews for quality...one in particular to avoid is Triple Cross (I own it and the transfer is terrible).

Depends how many of their titles your after. There's no Anaconda or Urban Legend box sets in the US, this was the cheapest way to get them. And preorder Region B titles like Pumpkinhead 2 that US places like Diabolik will charge 24+shipping for. Not supposed to street till Aug and they've already shipped. Hell of the living dead 4k, a Euro only 4k, is 32 on diabolik but could be grabbed for 20 in this sale. I also got stuff that's been released by Severin cheaper than if I'd bought from Severin and most of those 88 releases are identical transfers+extras to the Severin ones, just different art. Including box sets I got 15 films for about $11 US each and paid nothing for shipping...to me that's a deal.

May want to ensure The Hell of the Living Dead is the correct disk.

Oh, I get that. I was referring to having to spend $170 to get that deal is out of my league. Glad you could take advantage of that, though.

Yeah it says on the product page on their site it's the corrected disc.

I don't mind that I didn't get a copy of the Pete Walker horror films boxset directly from 88 Films before it sold out (it stated that ("sold out") when I checked their website earlier (it's still available elsewhere. The reasons I've been reluctant to get this title, is there is some issue (or could be an issue) with the 3-D part of The Flesh and Blood Show, not all of the films have new restorations, and I expected more interview extras). There is one new release I want to get (The Beast in the Cellar) and a couple of pre-order titles (Funeral Home and Orgasmo).

You have to be quick with this one. Within a day multiple tittles I wanted were out of stock. Didnt end up ordering anything.

Ditto. Went to see if I could order a copy of The Beast in the Cellar, only to find it was "sold out". I was thinking of pre-ordering Orgasmo, but decided I'm going to wait for reviews first. That left pre-ordering Funeral Home, but I wasn't going to order that on it's own with the shipping/postage.

I try to support boutique labels directly as much as I can, but that's not always possible. Have seen a lot of flash sales and longer-lasting sales come and go the last few months. Rather frustrating (on a side note I'm not a fan of the whole FOMO thing).

It's a mixed-bag. Your best bet is to look up individual titles on this site.

MVD is having a 50% off sale on all The Film Detective titles. The free shipping threshold is $75 US.

I could come up with only $62 for an order since I bought so many Film Detective titles the last time they had a 50% off sale. So I checked on The Film Detective titles at Oldies.com and found a non-sale title for $15 that just put me over the $75 free shipping threshold.

So if you can't get free shipping on MVD.com, check out Oldies.com for the same titles. They had the same titles on sale plus others that aren't on a special sale.
