I haven't auditioned anything else yet - so far the Totem Tribe IIs and Golden Ear Triton 2s are tops the list - theres about 4 or 5 other candidates I still haven't auditioned though - MA GX20, Dynaudio Contours, EvoAcoustics MMMicroOne, Dali Helikon MkII and Rega S5s.

I've done about an hour of demo'ing so far. Really impressed. I'll tell more after the Jets game.

My gf had a fit when she first saw it. I removed the risers, took off a grill - I just need to fix the wires under that couch. It's practically a massage chair, that love seat.

You know JJ if you would have told me you were going to "paint" your sub gloss white, I would said you were crazy. But you mock up looks BAD ASS!

I broke it in with:

- Empire Strikes Back - (

- Jurassic Park - Brachiosaur landing, Velociraptors Feeding

- Transformers III - Highway Chase, Optimus Continuous Shot

- Tron: Legacy - Disc Wars / Lightcycle Battle

- Transformers I - Opening Attack - Ironhide Sweep

- LOTR:EE FOTR - Bridge of Khazad-Dum

- Kung Fu Panda - Po v. Tai Lung battle

New bass notes, great room pressurization (not perfect - it's still 8,000 cu. ft of air), but leaps and bounds better than the ol' AA Sub10. One wonders what this could've done in my old room.

I'm eager to break her in some more, but she's really doing her duty. There truly are notes I've never heard before - and by heard, I mean felt. She's a quality machine, and I'm giddy to try out new movies. The Bridge of Khazad-Dum especially was a building mover. I could hear the walls of the condo vibrate for a sec or two there. Overall, very, very clean bass.

Now to up the front three to match!

I'm really giddy about how these look.

But my room is probably too big for them. Given my room, I may have no choice but to go with the GE Triton 2s.

Officially broke it in by watching Thor, the entire movie. Hadn't seen it. OMG. I know the audio enthusiast crowd loves their hyperbole, but...

Just finished refinishing.

Phone pics for now, the DSLR is charging and the house is a bit disorganized.

It came out pretty dang good - according to my gf, and then confirmed by my sister.
