Gears of War 3 Special Edition

Following is direct quote from CollectorsEdition.org

All we know is that the Epic Edition & Limited Edition is going to come to Europe but things have changed.

First, in the UK the Epic Edition is now exclusive to GAME & Gamestation.
Second, Germany & Austria are not getting the Epic Edition as well as the Limited Edition. There will be an own unique Edition limited to 500 copies.
It is currently unknown how other countries in Europe are going to be affected by this but I suggest checking that your order is safe.

The Special Edition for Germany and Austria is limited to 500 copies and will include the following:

Red colored Wooden Box
COG Tag chain
Steelbook with Gears 3 writing
Marcus Fenix figure, 15 cm (about 6″)

It appears that the Special Edition will be exclusive to 3 online retailers, according to a Newsletter pre-orders will be available at July 31st. One of the retailers is “Zockerrampe” from Germany. The others are probably from Austria and will apparently cost € 140

EU will get a Special edition and then the Explorer edition. The special edition will be included in the explorer edition and is infact a digibook that resembles Drake's journal IIRC.

Will be importing the US CE, but no one to help me do that

Final touches in the works on the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition. Here’s a peek at the box straight from the factory. All the details will be revealed at Call of Duty XP! (source: Call of Duty:MW3 on facebook)

I hope that this includes SteelBook, just like other CoD releases.

Not sure about the Explorer edition but Game and Gamestation (UK) are advertising (what looks to be) a £45/£50 'Special Edition' that has a steelbook and some DLC. (I saw posters instore)

It fits in with what Sony have been doing recently; a £50 special edition then a bigger Collector's Edition. Infamous 2, Killzone 3 etc.
