I love the new Tomb Raider. Its a great action flick that reminded me of 90s action movies. I think the actress was amazing and the movie was fun all the way through. The 3D was bleh, but i was entertained the whole way. I wish it got a sequel.

i enjoyed the angelina movies back in the day but watching them now is so bad.

It’s certainly a thunderous sound mix!, I enjoyed it a couple of times now but it’s not got the same appeal as the originals for me.

Watched Laika. The artists clearly poured a lot of work and passion into this project. The design is lovely, and all the characters are interesting to look at. It's a crazy film, a musical black comedy about a stray dog, seized to be the first Russian astronaut. Animals and nature are good, and man and science are evil. Its not politically correct, and its slightly perverted. It's all fairly entertaining as a curious social commentary.

The 3D looks native and has good depth and roundness and is used to good effect to help tell the story. I do wish they had positioned more of the natural image in front of the screen. They treat the stereo window as a barrier to a little stage for their sets. There are multiple pop-out moments where they break the window on purpose, but there are a lot of scenes set deeper into the screen than necessary. Still, its a little 3D gem, and I'm happy with its discovery.

Movie - 3/5
3D - 3.5/5

All special features are 2D and English subtitled and include:
- Theatrical Trailer (1:54)
- Laika: Visual Effects (12:47)
- Deleted Scene: Singing Helena Dvorakova (0:38), Singing Monika Naceva (0:38)
- Animation Tests (4:00)
- Pilot Movie (2:55)
- Galleries: Art Design (2:09), Making of (2:09), Stills (2:09), Exhibition (2:09)
- Music Clip: Singing Helena Dvorakova (2:45), Singing Monika Naceva (2:45)

Just been rewatching Passengers 3D, released almost exactly 4 years ago. I've always enjoyed this captivating space romance adventure and the 3D is really nice.

My first 3D movie, after your comment about mad max I read about it and I still don't get it. Maybe he should have released a silent version, art gone crazy. I always hated when woody allen did b & w, but probably me again being non artsy. I guess I had my fill of b & w in the 50’s on a 15 inch screen.

I really like both movies, but again I don’t get it. Reminds me of Michigan in January. B&W is like 2D why take something better away?

I just watched Jurassic Park 3D. It was also the first time my son watched this movie.

Besides the great 3d, it was a pleasure to see my son become captivated by the movie (like me when I saw Jurassic Park almost 27 years ago for the first time on the big screen).

The whole movie is absolutely magic, especially the first appearance of the T-REX. In my opinion one of Spielbergs best movies.

I have both also and prefer the 3D. I guess once again we are going to have to agree to disagree. When he goes out on the space walk , I can’t believe anyone could prefer the flat image.

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF EXTINCTION. Bad script. Phenomenal 3D. Great action set pieces.

Not a patch on Jaws for me but the 3D sure was impressive. I wouldn’t put it in Spielberg’s top 5 but it’s good imo.

I also have to vote for the 4K. The sheer detail is staggering at times and on my projector it almost looked 3D anyway. It looked mesmerising on a OLED also.

The 3D version was good also, but for me, the 4K presentation was superior.

There are many 3D fans who just rate a 3D version automatically better because, well, it’s 3D! I don’t share that view. Some films are superb in 3D and the best way to watch (Gravity, GOTG, The Walk, House Of Wax, Hugo) but not always.

My projector is only 1080P. So when I watch 4K I’m limited to 55” so that may influence my opinion.
