Were is the best place to get some armor with light in it?

I reached level 20 last night and the game gave me a notice that I can no longer level up without some better gear.

This. Your best bet, as a 20, is to do the strikes Playlist. Viper and Wolf should be available to you. Always do the level you are and 1 or 2 levels up. The higher the level you play, the higher potential for getting light armor (blue). As you start getting this armor, you need to raise the light in it but playing with it equipped.

Your goals is purple armor (which you buy from vanguard/faction/DLC vendors or earn from raids. You won't be able to raid (vault of glass, aka VoG) until you're 26, but you max at level 30 with that IIRC.

Once you hit 28,youll be able to run the Crotas End raid (assuming you have the Dark Below DLC). If you get full armor here, you're max light will bring you to 32 (33 if you have exotic armormor piece maxed). You can "ascend" this armor using Etheric Light, which is earned randomly in Nightfall (another strike, but one that guarantees purple engram, exotic armor/weapon, or at least 10 strange coins, meh), by completing a level 34 or 35 (PoE)Prison of Elders (assuming you have House of Wolves DLC), or Iron Banner (one week per month, when you get to IB level 3 and 5, can buy one light at each level).

I know there is a lot of info here, and someone else can put it better than me, but for now, the Strikes Playlist is your best bet.

When you're level 24, many of the folks here would be glad to take you on your first VoG raid.

I looked at your rep with the vendors. You should jump into the strike missions like Ferris said. From there you will be able to earn Vanguard rank which can be spent on gear. You will also be able to get drops from those runs that should allow you to replace the green gear you currently have.

Side note - it's randomly weird that I remember you from the Camaro5 forums around 5 years ago when I was active there.

Another side note - now I'm questing for the

Last note - ran into someone with a perfect 3665 Grimoire (catdamb) and a New Monarchy ship (double cotdamb) in the Crucible yesterday. While I led my team in all stats, I just couldnt beat a guy with a 5 K/D ratio and 32 Kills + 8 captures. Jesus H. Damn all-star.

Something to do with the Mayflower and a popular playground game. I dont know. Dodgeball Plymouth Rock.

I ran about two hours worth of them yesterday. You just keep it fun by mixing weird weapon combos so it doesnt get stale. Praedyths Timepiece + Pocket Infinity + The Swarm and just light everything on fire with PI was fun for a bit.

Bring the Vestian Dynasty out for some fun (which is about to be my new fav crucible weapon after a few fun rounds with it yesterday, it's a 5 body shot kill but those shots come out fast and I >think< they stagger targets a little).

But since Dragons dont include Omnigul or Undying Mind it can get boring.

I got lucky and was paired with a couple guys obviously running them together. It was a speed run every time, bypassing anything we could and then downing the final boss with three GHorns in <10 seconds.

They showed me a new (to me) spot at the Nexus where you jump on the rafters to the left, then across to the curved wall. Follow that around to the edge, then jump up onto an invisible platform that you can shoot anything from and not have to worry too much about adds or that pesky Praetorian up on the cliff.

So you get good stuff from that Vanguard Dragon Strike stuff? The level is pretty low and I only ever seemed to get a few materials by the end so I gave up on it, taking way too long. But if it has the potential for good stuff, that has me kinda intrigued again.

No cool drops from it for me just yet, save another scout w/ full auto/firefly/explosive rds, but I want to see if the Dodgeball Plymouth Rock is better than my Messenger. Which I dont even know is possible.

I did also get a MG with a 105 round clip.

There's exclusive Legendary weapon drops for the Crucible and Dragon playlists. There's a lot of great rerollable weapons on those lists. Dry Rot, Matador, Party Crasher, Spare Change, Ash Factory, etc.

From what I've been reading, it is slightly better because you can roll it to stats that edge-out Messenger, but if you already have a Messenger, then it's not worth the grind.

I don't even use Active Radar, if I could get that off for something like Outlaw...

Hmmm. The Messenger is so deliciously OP for me that I can't imagine something even slightly better. It's awesome even vs. snipers with a two burst drop. Maybe a bit more range, I dont think extra stability meshes well with the headseeker perk, as you want that chest to head bounce....

Have fun getting 500 Crucible points using Void Damage. Although I think you have a warlock, so nova bomb and grenades ought to make that cake.
