You really need the Bubble from the sound of your tastes. It's a very fun little film that manages to hurt the eyes with so much 3D. Also worth mentioning GOG

I actually looked for the Bubble last week and it’s pretty $$$ on eBay but I’m keeping my eyes peeled for a deal.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! I bought comin at ya! For $7 on eBay. I’m watching a couple of auctions for Friday the 13th from shout factory, my bloody valentine and creature from the black lagoon!

I just watched Life of Pi and the movie was visually stunning and there were a few pop out moments in the opening credits but otherwise wasn’t super impressed. By no means was it wrath of the Titans, the 3D was good but just not my type of 3D.

You should hold off on The Bubble. The 3-D Film Archive will be restoring a extended roadshow version which will hopefully be released in the next couple years.
Some other recommendations with good pop-outs:
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Beowulf
Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over

I could only find the Spy Kids game over combo with shark boy which is super expensive on eBay. $95! Looked at all the sold ones and that about what it usually sells for is the $100 range. I’ve actually never seen either of those films.

Did they sell it separately also? I saw a foreign solo release on eBay as well.

I just looked. I had no idea it was out of print and so expensive. If you were local I'd loan/give you mine. Sorry.

Far as I know it was only released with Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

Really good 3-D here, much improved depth than seen in Prometheus. Beautiful cinematography too. The movie itself isn’t bad but a little uneven. Suffers from being poorly miscast although Christian Bale puts in a commanding performance. Forgot Jesse from Breaking Bad is in this movie.
Still need to watch the deleted scenes which are also in 3-D.
Hi Br3ttd,

The movie has great 3D, some of the best you could ask for. I actually enjoyed the film although I view it more as an action adventure take on a religious story with some interesting philosophical questions.

Wow has the price gone up on that combo. Just last year was able to get a used copy for maybe ten dollars or so.

Hi infinite,

Wasn't a newly restored version with some additional extras in the works?

Think it's one of those ones where when work lightens up they'll put it out. Probably best to let interest marinate anyway.

No worries!! I’ll keep my eyes peeled and set an alert on eBay. I have 23 3D Blu-ray’s to watch so I’ll be okay for a bit lol.

Thanks Br3ttD! I found a copy from Goodwill San Francisco for $67 so figured I can just watch them and then flip it on eBay after and get my money back if I decide not to keep it.

This disc changed my life. I only had a few 3D movies, mostly Marvel, before I saw this earlier this year and learned what 3D video was really capable of. The folks at the 3D Film Archive do a tremendous job on everything they work on. Besides their movies, I would recommend House of Wax if you like other movies from the Golden Era. If you are looking for pop-outs Final Destination 4 & 5 both have a lot (though they aren't really my type of movie).

The Bubble, It Came From Outer Space, House Of Wax (as mentioned), Inferno, The Mad Magician, Nude Cuties, The Mask, CFTBL and 3D Rarities volume 2 are all essential imo.

Also, The Stewardess has a fantastic extra bonus short.

I watched Piranha 3D over the weekend.

I am not the world's biggest horror fan, but I enjoyed it for the cheesy B movie that it is. Not safe for children. The 3D was fairly good.

The 3D in the second Piranha movie is great but i thought the 3D in the first was absolutely awful, terrible early conversion.
