Too much Kurosawa already... four titles so far on blu-ray from Criterion.

From their already established DVD collection, I would hope that Criterion will give us another Truffaut film, a Renoir, some Pasolini, a Malle, a De Sica, a Buñuel, or an Altman film on blu-ray... plus, a nice big collection of David Lean's British films wouldn't hurt, either. My UK DVD set is excellent, but I'd love to have all of those Lean films on blu-ray.

Short Cuts would be nice (my wife would love it). I was thinking this morning that one film I would love to see them release on blu is Suspiria. Don't know if it has been discussed before, and I have no idea who owns the rights to it at this point, but it would be a thing of beauty.

Weinstein owns the rights, as far as I know, since they're supposed to be remaking the film.

I figured that the reason there isn't a blu already was because of the remake, so that makes sense.

What if, and I know this is one hell of a longshot, we got all new stuff? Not a single rereleased spine number new to Blu. I mean, that's obviously not going to happen probably ever again, but I feel like this thread would probably do strange and unexplained things, just because it'd be so unexpected.

New interview with Godard:

http://hollywood-elsewhere.com/2010/...t_from_t_1.php

As usual, he comes off as a smug, self-important "artist." Of the horror of "screenplay films!"

I'd do back flips (or die trying) if both of those were announced.

It's rumored a Tarkovsky is on the way. It's possible...

MOON is on blu-ray. It kind of takes elements from 2001 and Solaris. It's not bad at all.

"Self-explanatory" in that you're like the Child Catcher in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang," except that you are now retired and too old to go kidnapping so you now own a candy store to lure children in for the kidnapping?

That defeats the "Self-explanatory" disclaimer...... but "Yeah" that's it

You know, for any of you guys that use 'FIREFOX', there is an add-on that automatically will refresh your page every 5, 10, 15 or 20-seconds, which is also great if you do online chats for sporting events.

God, it's so unsettling seeing Tim Curry's transvestite form at the top of this page. I hope the announcement comes in soon so we can get to another page. I'm starting to get uncomfortable.

Doesn't mean it wasn't hilarious, though!
