Too much Kurosawa already... four titles so far on blu-ray from Criterion.

From their already established DVD collection, I would hope that Criterion will give us another Truffaut film, a Renoir, some Pasolini, a Malle, a De Sica, a Buñuel, or an Altman film on blu-ray... plus, a nice big collection of David Lean's British films wouldn't hurt, either. Short Cuts would be nice (my wife would love it). I was thinking this morning that one film I would love to see them release on blu is Suspiria. Don't know if it has been discussed before, and I have no idea who owns the rights to it at this point, but it would be a thing of beauty.

Weinstein owns the rights, as far as I know, since they're supposed to be remaking the film.

I figured that the reason there isn't a blu already was because of the remake, so that makes sense.

What if, and I know this is one hell of a longshot, we got all new stuff? Not a single rereleased spine number new to Blu. I mean, that's obviously not going to happen probably ever again, but I feel like this thread would probably do strange and unexplained things, just because it'd be so unexpected.

It's rumored a Tarkovsky is on the way. It's possible...

MOON is on blu-ray. It kind of takes elements from 2001 and Solaris. It's not bad at all.
