It's frustrating that there is a German Blu-ray of Sonatine, but no English subs... and no news of any English friendly release on the horizon

Does Kikujiro still comes with a slip? Amazon?

I'd seen it in HMV with one, probably a month ago.

When amazon were doing that £10 off for a £50 purchase a few months ago I preordered both Destruction Babies and Fire on the Plain (along with Arrow's release of the Dead or Alive trilogy) which at the time was above £50. At the time I hoped that once the prices dropped I would still get the money off however this doesn't seem to be the case. Did anybody else use this offer and can confirm that this has happened for them as well?

Someone mentioned this happened to them in another thread (think it was the Arrow - House collection thread). An email/chat to Amazon should get this sorted for you.

Thanks, the Dead Or Alive trilogy was released last week so I just cancelled the order, was only really getting it because of the money off. Also what with Fires on the Plain being set back I figured putting in separate orders for the two third windows films would make things easier.

Destruction Babies in the 2 for £25 at HMV for those pre-ordering. Goes great with the Criterion sale that just started just ordered myself a copy and Kurosawa's Dreams.

I've just switched my order from amazon, along with Drunken Master. Works out £2 cheaper overall.

still not bought 'kids return' - currently £19.99 at amazon - despite following the price and hoping for similar price point to previous kitano discs.

just cannot make any sense of amazon's pricing & clearly explain how much involvement (if any) labels have on where they can / when they do change too, or how it effects sales levels or simply annoys with prices being randomly unusually high for a label or uncompetitive in relation to another labels discs, either.

I noticed a load of TWF stuff down to £6 on Blu and £3 on DVD in Fopp this weekend. Not sure if that means a proper sale is imminent or not but if you are near one it might be worth a look to fill any gaps.

Nottingham Fopp tweeted about this last week and when I was in Friday there wasn't much there. Only had a handful of Blu-ray releases. Was after The Story of Yonosuke amongst others.

Just noticed TSOY is £6.42 on Amazon marketplace so may pick it up there.

I saw this on twitter, I'm off to London in a couple of weeks for work so will check out Covent Garden Fopp, between this and the Arrow sale I might come back having spent more than I earn for the day!
I shall report back, if nobody else has before then, on what's in the sale.

All the Kitano titles are the same price I think, as is Lowlife Love and Tetsuo. Most of the others seem to be £6, which is pretty good going, and you can get pretty close to that price on Amazon Marketplace at the moment on some things.

Unfortunately my local Fopp doesn't have that one in stock and it's the only Kitano I don't currently have. Anyone know if it's still got the slip? I might try and order it in to my local store if so.

Cheers, I'll try and give them a ring at some point and see if they can get one in.
