I've pre-ordered the Civil War Iron Man, not due till next year but it'll be my first Iron Man; looks amazing.

I've also just put down an order for the Civil War Cap, due in September.

I can't get him until tomorrow. I'll have just enough time to grab him after work before heading off to see The Temple of Doom at my theater. How awesome is that? Maybe I'll open him and take him with to the movie.

New Black Widow looks great, but I have the AoU version so I'll skip this one, I can barely keep up with new figures let alone multiples of the same one!!

ive ordered iron man as well. looks amazing with the diorama base but its not for out for over a year

I have the WS and AoU versions but I like this one the best and really want it now that I see the official photos.

I regret ordering Deadpool more with each new figure reveal that I want, I kind of lost interest in that figure but I used a ton of reward points on him so I didn't want to cancel it.

Ordered the Jakku exclusive trooper (for my FN2187 custom). The base works better for what I need it for and the extended stock looks better IMO. It looks like the exact same body type as the normal trooper and the gear looks like it comes off easy.


Also that space trooper looks really cool! Even cooler with that $25 off Sideshow sent out today.

So, I'm thinking of getting my first figure...the new Aliens Warrior (and perhaps the Captain America Civil War or the Captain America/Steve Rogers set < that seems like a good deal though that's a waitlist)

but wanted opinions as to is the price worth the quality? Do they sell out quickly? Just wondering, because it's not a decision to be made lightly. (and it's quite an expensive hobby, so I want to make sure there's no buyers remorse...) How did you feel after you received your first piece?

It's not quite like a crystal meth addiction, but it's in the same ballpark!

As for quality and value, ultimately that is an individuals call. However, most people feel that they are quite worth the price... even though the prices have jumped a fair amount in the last couple of years.

I would recommend calling around to some of the comic book collectible shops in your city (if you live in a metropolitan area) and ask if they happen to have any Hot Toys figures in stock or on display. Tell them that you are looking into starting a collection and were hoping to see some examples in person. Maybe they can help ease your concerns.

They do go out of stock, but not usually very quickly. Some more quickly than others. But, with Sideshow, keep an eye out for the WAITLIST option. More often than not the waitlist reservation will convert into an actual purchase.
