You should hold on to your slips. We have a slipcover exchange here and the fact that someone here would even be wiling to buy it. And they aren't to hard to ship or cost much.
All you have to do is out them in between two sturdy pieces of cardboard and then mail that in a bubble mailer. I think that is a total of $3 or less.

I also managed to get Set 2 today, love the little art cards, not fond of the sticker on the slipcover (Residue is still stuck to it), the video is unfortunately either the same or slightly worse than Set 1. LOTS of ghosting in Episode 25 (Unfortunate, as that's probably one of the better episodes of the first series), I haven't watched past that mostly out of disgust.

Other than that, the dub's still good so at least these sets have that going for it.
I'd just pick up the DVDs if it weren't for the DVD sets getting screwed in the physical bonuses department, the DVDs have thankfully been fixed but they're still using the same crummy remaster on them as well.

Most of the extras are fan specific. Lots of convention coverage and interviews with fans and cosplayers. The only bonus that's specific to the new dub is the AX Sailor Moon Panel.

I've been doing something similar, the sticker sheets that came with the manga, and the promotional card I got from RS with a previous package are both n the placeholder box.

Today got the email the blu Rays have shipped finally according to the email it's expected to arrive in the 3rd how ever it might come before then. Oh well now the waiting game starts.

About the slip cover for season 1 part 2. A while back I had posted about that. The blu ray season 1 part 2 will fit in the season 1 bix with or without the slip cover.

Good to see that Viz has addressed the concerns about the set, but waiting to see on the Blu-rays.

Hard to compare the picture quality in its entirety from 1 comparison. I've only watched 1 episode so far, but to my eyes it didn't look any better or worse than part 1.

What I find odd, is that it mentions a "left" and "right" as if there are two pictures.
