I hope Senso is a digi. I'm not sure what to make of that cover. A digi's artwork could help it. But right now, least fav of the bunch (though I don't HATE it), even though it's prob the movie I am looking forward to the most in HD out of this month (seen Sweet Smell.... in HD already).

To add,

Thanks Criterion, you got your cartoon covers out of your system these past Jan and Feb announcements. Now back to something else. Anything. Anything at all.

Amarcord, The Naked Kiss, Shock Corridor, Army of Shadows, Robinson Crusoe on Mars, Still Walking, Sweet Smell of Success, and Senso. That's enough cartoon covers for a year.

OMG! Did you see the prices on these things? Wonder how many are digibooks and can we pre-order replacement cases?

Seriously, a great month. Gotta hope there's a sale from somebody first half on next year.

Funny thing that Tim Curry is being mentioned so often. He's a fine actor IMO, and has done a great range of films, not all of them winners though... My nephews were watching some family film with him in it, I saw it as a was passing to the door to go to work, don't know waht film it was, all I remember he was the runner of a "puppy mill", it looked sorta like a Benji ripoff, he seems to have gained a great deal of weight too. I thought his small supporting role in The Hunt for Red October was good.

The Double Life of Veronique is a definite as long as it doesn't have the temporal noise-reduction of the UK disc. Have never seen Amarcord, Sweet Smell of Success or Senso, but those are of interest as well.

hooray for Criterion! so excited for Sweet Smell of Success on blu-ray. i think it was another MGM title, which gives me more hope that Criterion will eventually release Kubrick's The Killing.

I'm for at least 4 of those.

Sweet Smell of Success was soooo overdue for a decent release by someone.

It's worthy of an easy blind buy if anyone is curious. Terrific film. Lancaster and Curtis are great

There is no problematic temporal noise reduction on the UK disc. So please stop constantly insinuating that there are certain issues with certain releases when there are none. At least stop doing so on this forum.

Thank you.

They are the same representation just shorter.
I'm pretty sure TJS was joking, PP. Or, at least, I hope so.

I'm not sure what I've started (actually, Beta started the whole thing and then tfunk egged it on), but I'm becoming hypnotized by his head movements in the .gif. I'd love to find a .gif of his character raising his eyebrow over and over. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

3 new pages in one hour?

500 kilos and only 1 meter long?

But this is my favorite...

I've still got the original non-anamorphic Amarcord. I'm happily upgrade.
