No movie is exempt from criticism, but the criticisms aren’t exempt from being critiqued either.

In other words, the exact opposite of the one you're quoting.

You spend more time talking about this kind of stuff, about people spending time criticizing movies, than actually talking about movies. It's stifling. Anytime anyone criticizes Marvel or Star Wars or any kind of film or property, you swoop in to be like "I don't understand why people dwell on the negative" or something similar. Like, look dude, we all get that you only focus on things you love. That's great. I'm glad that works for you. Not everyone is like that though and you need to accept that.

Return of the Living Dead is legitimately one of the best films of the 80's, regardless of genre.

That's why my screen time is dedicated to movies.

I'm gonna try a John Ford run. I think there are 82 feature length narrative films that survive. I don't think I'm going to do this all at once.
