Transfer is good. The clone wars look unbelievable and the soundtrack is a barnstormer.

One thing I did notice, and maybe somebody can confirm this.... The humans riding CG creatures effects looked much, much better than the dozen or so times I've seen this film before. A touch up??
Personally it was the mushy love story for me and them sat in a field kissing,i want Star Wars not Little House on the Prairie. Also i hated Christensens performance in AOTC AND ROTS ,the only time he showed some real conviction was when he was being burnt alive, he handled that well and i also got some satisfaction from it lol

I always cringe when he delivers the lines "You fell into that nightmare, master" and "Excuse me, I'm in charge of security here. milady". Hayden seems to have a knack for stressing the wrong word of the sentence, and Lucas seems to have a knack for chosing a bad take for the final film regardless.

My only issue with the romance part was the fact that is was rushed. I believed that Anakin loved Padmé, but not the other way around...not that quickly anyway. If it spanned over two films I would believe it more easily.

When I was 12 watching AOTC, I hated the romance part because all I wanted was lightsaber fights and space battles. Now at 21, my taste in films have matured and I can appreciate romance and stronger dialogue over action sequences. I felt AOTC had a decent balance between dialogue/romance and action dispite it being a bit rushed. I will agree though that Hayden acted better in ROTS, infact they all acted better in ROTS.

Bought this from Sainsbury's yesterday for £60, and would like to say that having bought the films on VHS (twice) DVD and now BD, this is absolutely the last time that i am buying the Saga this decade! Unless they bring out the 3D versions and they are spectacular conversions of course. Seriously guys, i'm done buying Star Wars for this decade. The films look fantastic, sound fantastic and i didn't really mind the changes made a great deal. I'm happy with 'em.

All the other docs and movies plays perfectly. I know this set comes from the UK for distribution where I am...
Hi there, at last someone with the same problem so I know I'm not going crazy
I live in The Netherlands and encountered the same issues with "making of star wars" up till and including "star warriors". Everything else from "star wars tech" onwards plays normal.
I have been advised on another site to do a firmware upgrade on my player so I wil have to find out if this helps. My blu ray players dates back to 2008 and never had any upgrades, perhaps yours is also one of the earlier models?

In the meantime, if anyone else on this forum knows of any alternative or better solutions please notify us. I would like to find out if it is a fault on my set up or if the disc itself has a defect, in which case I would need to replace it through my supplier.

Many thanks !!
Peter.

They are on the end (at least on the Phantom Menace), after the credits have finished. Which is a bit odd and it would have been better if they just played before the movie like all the previous releases.

If you wait right until the end of the credits then you get the THX blue box like was on the Special Edition VHS release I believe!!

Sounds great on a surround system!!

But the decade started in 2010...unless you bought them all in this time!

Noticed that in the credits of Star Wars Ep1 bluray it lists the Yoda muppet volunteers but of course the muppet was replaced with a digital version & there's no option to view the original footage

I feel sorry for those volunteers

George: "Look, I know you put a lot of effort into the muppets but I don't care because I'm going to replace it anyway!"

I'd hate to be a participant/actor in any of his films, wondering when my efforts will eventually be replaced by crappy digital effects/dubs

Yes it's a new effect they've toned down Artoo leaking oil as well and covered up a cable that was running through the grass.

Best Buy preorder cell next to Target Lithographs. Only about 9 were displayed at my store, the team had just finished setting up their display as i entered. They are in an envelope which is then shrink wrapped.

Yeh they touched him up, added a few things here and there. Theres a comprehensive list here with comparison to the shots from each version of the films. http://www.dvdactive.com/editorial/a...art-three.html
