Yes, works for me with PowerDVD 10 and region B (AnyDVD deactivated).

With PowerDVD 10 I have to:

Go to 'Settings ...' >> 'Player' >> 'Advanced' >> 'Default Settings'.

Here select 'Customize' instead of 'Same as UI language' and change all three (Menu, Audio, Subtitle) languages to 'French (France)'.

After that PowerDVD will play the uncut version. If I switch back to English, it will play the censored version again.

Thank you so much, that works.

I just received the French Steelbook. How can I tell definitively that I got the new Conan the Barbarian disc? Is there a specific # somewhere on the disc? Or is there a specific point in the movie that I can check?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if I posted this in the right section, but does anyone have any idea?

Well, if it's come in the Steelbook there's no reason to think you haven't got the right disc. This wasn't a case of it being a replacement.

But if you want to check, have a look at the scene when Conan is running away from the dogs, just before he falls into the crypt and finds his sword. This was a day time shot, and very bright on the old disc. On this new one, the day for night filter has been put back, giving it a dark blue hue.

Thanks, with so many old and new discs floating around out there, I just want to be sure I got the right one.

There, I posted the disc number at the end (A0101909268-B911 2000). But if you have the steel book, you'll be fine anyway. Might as well just check, if the problems have been fixed, by the way .

Thanks, I was looking for something definitive like the disc #. It's not impossible for the old disc to make its way into the new steelbook.

Interesting. My disc number look like it is A0101909268-A911 1000. It is hard to tell. How do I tell if the scene has the night filter though? It looks like it is early morning, not night. Is there a comparison of this scene somewhere?

The new fixed disc should look like the first image.

Thanks. It doesn't really look like either one to me, but I guess it is closer to the second image with a darker sky. I don't know, given that my disc number is different than what was reported earlier I'm concerned I got an older disc in my steelbook.

andreasy969,

What are the date/timestamps on the file folders of your disc. Mine are 12/19/2011 11:51PM. That seems too old.

Here is a quick print screen of the scene from my own copy:

For the record, my disc number matches that which andreasy listed.

On the French Steelbook release only.

Well, that's assuming Braktastic confirms he has the newer disc like everyone else.

Each layer has it's own number. Usually the first layer has the letter A in it and the second layer has the letter B so you should check your disc again. I would check the other number on mine, but I'm not at home right now. Maybe someone else here can chime in and give both numbers.

Ah yes, Braktastic's number is simply on the other layer. The French Steelbook disc has both of those numbers, I've just checked.

Thanks! I will compare what I see on my display to the image you linked to tonight.

OK. I will do that tonight as well. I could only find one number, and I had a helluva time reading it.

Thanks for all your help, guys!
