I guess this is floating around the internet. Of course, no way to verify if it's real, and it can easily be a fake that someone wrote up. I don't know how old it is. It (supposedly) is the whole movie, so I should mention "potential spoilers."

Fake or real, it's worth reading for the laughs:

"Reed is a genius convenience store clerk with Ben"

The Seinfeld gif is perfect.

If the movie does poorly, we'll have to get a "that's a shame" gif in here.

If true...

- Reed Richards and Ben Grimm are convenience store clerks? When Reed gets his powers, will he say "I'm not even supposed to be here today"?
- Sue Storm is a mean party girl?
- What is with Fox and having drama/angst between Reed and Sue? The first film has them as ex-lovers who hate each other for most of the movie, and they're pulling the same thing here.
- Johnny changes colors? What?
- Ben can switch off his powers when he's not in danger? What? The whole entire point of the Thing is that he can't switch off his powers. That removes the entire pathos from the character. He's a man with a heart of gold, trapped in the body of a "monster." I don't care that he supposedly
[Show spoiler]gets stuck in rock form at the end of the movie, he's supposed to be stuck in rock form from the beginning. So the whole movie, he's going to be "I have rock powers, this is awesome!" instead of the tragic character that Lee/Kirby created. Only at the end of the movie would he get stuck in rock form and become the "true" Thing. Great.

- Fox is having Ben be able to change into human form to save money. Bank on it. It costs a lot less to have Jamie Bell on screen than it does a CGI rock guy.
- It sounds like they're redoing the first movie. It sounds almost exactly the same, but with some minor changes. There's going to be a lot of "we saw this movie ten years ago" feelings, should this plot be true.

Fox can change up Fantastic Four all they want but you don't mess with Dr. Doom.

And at the end of the movie, Victor is at his university graduation. He receives his Masters in Medicine. He throws his mortarboard up into the air with all his other graduating classmates and exclaims, "Victor Domeshev I am no more. You can call me Doctor Doom, yeah!"

Call me crazy but I kind of like the plot, if true. I just wish this was a WB or Netflix movie. Or a non-Fantastic Four sci-fi movie.

Kang (not sure if he his in the Avengers roster or the FF one)

And of course Doom.

It could be said that the roster has 2 out of 4 of Marvel's greatest Villains of all time (Galactus & Doom, the other two being Magneto and Thanos).

I know Spidey is iconic for Marvel, but I'd rather a million times that they'd get FF back honestly. At least I think they can work with Sony to some extent. Looks like bridges are being burned every day between Marvel and Fox these days...

I'd like a world where you have a 3 year rotation between Avengers, FF and GotG (or another team like Inhumans or West Coast Avengers per example).
Really? I've never heard of any of those villains except Galactus and Silver Surfer and that's only because I saw that awful 2nd Fantastic Four movie. (Obviously I know who Dr. Doom is.) Whereas I know a lot of Spider-Man's rogues gallery.

An ideal FF film would embrace the Lee/Kirby comics, and have the same tone as the first Iron Man film and the first Thor film. Fox could never in a million years make the Fantastic Four film I know Marvel Studios could make. Marvel took Guardians of the Galaxy and made it one of the most successful movies of the year; the most successful domestic success. They turned Rocket and Groot into superstars. They're now iconic. Marvel would make the FF A-list superstars again, and the FF would be more popular than ever before. No doubt in my mind.

And to think what Marvel could do if they could utilize Galactus, Silver Surfer... it would be amazing. And we know Marvel wanted them, because they once offered to let Fox keep the Daredevil rights if Fox would trade them just the rights to Galactus and Silver Surfer.

I'm not saying Marvel can do no wrong, but they're making the best comic book movies. They get their characters better than anyone. They make the most "comic book-y" comic book movies that appeal to hardcore comic book fans just as much as they appeal to people who have never touched a comic book. Even if Fox pulled a miracle and made a good FF movie, it could never be as good as a Marvel Studios FF movie. Not to sound like a Marvel fanboy, but the simple truth is they have the best record.

Imagine a Lee/Kirby inspired FF movie, with the classic FF, helmed by Brad Bird? How great would that be? Instead we're stuck with Josh Trank, a bunch of actors who look more at home on the CW, and a "Doom" who gets his name from internet bloggers.

Marvel has my faith and my trust. Fox does not.
I dunno, you sure do come off as a "Marvel can do no wrong" fanboy.

...well, considering Fox's track record, it seems like a perfectly reasonable position to take.

I don't disagree, just saying he did kinda come off as what he said he wasn't trying to come off as. But I'm also poking fun.

I think I made the right choice in life not to become a huge comic book fan, personally.

My comment wasn't a strike against you -- I was just stating the obvious.

But there's really nothing wrong with being a fan of comics, although I will admit some of us are a bit too geek-obsessed when it comes to the mythology.

Cool avatar, by the way. What's it from? Looks like something by Yoshitaka Amano.

If I was a casual comic book fan, then I too would only think of Dr. Doom as their villain, and no one else. I am a big comic fan and I know the other villain characters but from the perspective of a casual fan, Dr. Doom is the only well known villain. dont be too upset - the same goes for Superman. Casual fans only think of Lex Luthor. Spiderman and Batman have more well-known villains to the casual fan. Spiderman: Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Lizard. Batman: Joker, Penguin, Riddler. It's not even much more - maybe two or three more well-known.

No worries. I just thought it was obvious I didn't know as much about comics as most of the people here because I've admitted to it several times before.

I don't mean to tar fans of an entire medium (although anime fans probably deserve it) but the comic book fandom in general can get pretty crazy. Still, nothing tops the Star Wars fans when it comes to batshittedness. There's a reason why the SW megathread on this forum is the most heavily moderated.

And yes! You're the 2nd person today to ask that question and correctly guess Amano. Cool to see some fans of him on this forum.

Yeah, that's what I meant. I only know about Dr. Doom, and he's a badass. Superman? Besides LL, I know Zod, Metallo, Parasite, Toyman, Intergang, Darkseid, Bizarro, Mr. Mxywhatever, Doomsday, Brainiac (off the top of my head) but that's because I grew up watching Lois & Clark and the Superman cartoons of the 90s, not because I read the comic books. Spider-Man and Batman I can name plenty of villains.

Now what if they get Doom the Blogger to create some sort of app that turns Ben into "The Thing" permanently.

With everything that's come out about this movie, nothing would surprise me at this point. It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
