Same here...sitting in San Fran. I'm hoping I get the bonus disc, but I'll live without it I guess. I'm more disappointed that I didn't stick with my Amazon order. I thought for sure that CLM would get here faster. Oh well.

If I do get the bonus disc, I might just sell it.

I finally got a tracking number for my preorder on Monday, but it didn't actually go out until yesterday. If it arrives on Friday with no disc, I will call in to see if they will make it right; but I will ultimately file a chargeback if I don't get the disc.

What adds insult to injury is that they paraded the bonus disc around at DD and a convention over the weekend, when they didn't have enough of them to fill pre-paid preorders from their own website. Talk about poor form...

Someone up top asked how we know they aren't going to just print up more and send later. That would be fine by me; but this is where a simple slip in each shipment saying so, or an email to those affected, or a notice on their facebook and twitter would certainly de-escalate the situation. Their silence makes me think they're hoping to get away with their bait and switch on as many people as possible.
that's what I'm concerned about as well. There is no way I would have paid that high a price had it not been for the bonus disc. I would have simply ordered from amazon.com but I bought from them and no bonus disc.

This is a sure way for people to get fed up and do the torrent thing on something like this.

There is also really no excuse for the bonus DVD not to be included. I'm reading people saying it was a surprise how many orders were received and the DVDs ran out. That's complete nonsense. The only way that makes any sense would be if they ran out of Blu-rays as well. They should have the same amount of DVD bonus discs as they do Blu-rays. You can't sell 2 items together and have less stock of one than the other unless you are a pretty stupid business or a poorly run one, which seems to be the case.

I always thought pre-orders helped companies gage how many they need to have in stock when the release date comes so they are prepared and not caught off guard.

When was your copy sent?

Got a shipping notice and tracking number monday. If they don't include the bonus disc, they can have it right back. The bonus disc was the only incentive for me to pay a premium on the website instead of waiting for the general release.

Yeah they are still advertising the bonus disc on the website. There is no mention of running out of copies or "while supplies last".

Hi,

I ordered my copy from clm on 09/12 yes it was one day before the pre-order ended but since they never said in their site that the bonus disc was sold out(because of earlier pre-orders) I went for it, until now I haven't receive any shipping confirmation, so after reading some of the posts here I'm thinking that I won't be receiving the bonus disc

Like many of you I ordered the bluray from them for the bonus disc, I'm going to wait until I get the package and then we'll see what happens.

Thanks for all the updates!

Are you asking about the bonus disc? Bonus interview footage is broken up by movie.

I won't break a sweat if I don't get a bonus DVD with my order. For anyone like myself who hasn't bought the book and is delving into this stuff for the first time it's more than enough material to get through.

I think he meant just in general. On the main menu of the documentary when you're ready to start watching it do they treat it episodically, meaning the individual films are broken up into their own segments and you select which film you want to hear about, or do you have to select a "play all" option?

My quick review of disc one;

Starts off with a brief campfire scene where Corey Feldman gives dialogue similar to the Part 2 campfire scene. Then there is a brief segment of people from throughout the series talking about F13.... which all felt a little too His Name Was Jason for me, but then they get right down to covering the films in their own segments and that's when it becomes great and stays great. There is reused footage throughout, some from HNWJ and some from DVD extras but it's all there to further the story along. For example they show footage of Gloria Charles (Fox) at the Part 3 filming location, which we've seen already, but then there's newly filmed footage at other filming locations. As someone else said, they cleared a lot of clips for this; almost any time another movie is mentioned, a clip is shown. Then even showed a couple of clips of Part 4s Jarvis House in other films/TV, and some F13 actors in other roles. Newspaper clippings and fan photos are used throughout also, which keeps things moving fast (although some of the fan made posters shown are so good, some fans might be confused that they are real). I learned a couple of bits of trivia I didn't already know, but I have to say even though I know 99% of this information it's still all somehow exciting and I want to keep watching and see, in the end, how everyone felt about their film and what came next. And Corey does a great job with narration!

Yes, you can pick which film you want (each film is its own chapter) and you can do the same on the bonus disc.

If you have not received a shipping notification, send CLM an email at orders@crystallakememories.net. I went outta town on Monday and wanted to make sure it would arrived. They did respond back in a timely manner with a tracking number. My copy had shipped on Friday the 13th and was delivered on Monday. I never received my shipping notification.

These people bit off way more then they could chew. They completely under estimated the demand for this and are in a panic trying cover their asses and all they are doing is looking like a bunch of monkeys humping footballs.

I thought that was a little funny myself. I mean why in the world are we making a big deal about 4 little hours of footage not available elsewhere. We are making a big deal about nothing.

Talk about overreacting. You have to remember that this is being shipped via USPS. Their tracking system is not very good, too put it mildly. Mine shipped last Friday. The tracking didn't update until late Sunday evening. By then it had made several stops and was only a half hour away. Be patient, the documentary is worth it.
