Yeah I think it'll be of an annoyance than damaging. Just make sure you guys always have important saves always being uploaded to PS+.

As well as USB.

After the last update. PSN decides for themselves what games they want uploaded, not me.

Regarding the re-build database I've had that happen a few times as well. It won't harm your system but you should really not use the console's face buttons... Ever.

The power button on my system is just about worthless. Had to press it several times yesterday.

Face buttons? Surely they are designed to be used?

After I turn on the system with the controller, I can use the console eject button.

If I do this any other way, or use the power button, I'll get 3 beeps & on next boot-up, 50/50 chance of the database needing a re-build.

So I simply stopped using those buttons except for swapping discs & never have run into the database BS again.

I'd rather have them fix a theme bootup issue I have. When turning on my system I get the default sounds for 2 seconds before the 20th anniversary theme kicks in. So I get the normal sounds for a bit before cutting off suddenly and the old PS1 bass line starts (which is very low compared to everything else). Happens with any theme that has alternate sounds/music.

In my experience the 3 beeps also meant that any time I started the system after it happening it had to rebuild the database. So yes, it's something to worry about.
