Plastic Memories was good, but is an extreme tear-jerker... I've got that and Erased coming from AoA. Can't speak for Wagnaria 3, as I don't have plans to buy that series at all.

Yes, the box set is just a repackaging minus all the swag of the LE's.

Don't forget the movies. They are worth getting too. Especially the third one as it is a sequel to the series.

Know how you feel. The movies are on Netflix if you need to watch them while you save some monies.

FMA:B hit in early 2009, AoA didn't release the Gurren Lagann movies until over a year later. Aniplex was just started to get interested in having their US subsidiary (which was established in 2005 actually) get into discs. At the time they were still fine with sublicensing their titles to FUNimation, Sentai, and others. After seeing how things worked for them, eventually they completely stopped allowing others to get their stuff except AoA.
ahh that's right. good point. I forget that AoA is a relatively newer publishing company that wouldn't have been making discs back then.

I enjoyed the shit outta Plastic Memories-really sad ending though-even if you can see it coming a mile away.

I loved that show. I mean use it is totally predictable but it leaves the door open as well for a possible Season 2.

I don't really understand the love for Puella Madoka Magica..... I watched it and really didn't think much of it. I keep eyeing the Fate Stay/Night UBW sets.... but maybe next year....

Excellent! Was looking forward to watching the series at the end of the month now I can watch it next weekend if it arrives in time. Also the Gurren Lagann series shipped out today. I'll have some pics to post in the next few days!

Also thanks all for Plastic Memories input. It's in the back burner for now but will most likely pick it up before the end of the year along with Death Parade.

Cheers,
