An dont say its a pre-released cover. Thats not trustworthy.

I dont see a reason why the star trek 6 Blu Ray should only have one cut.
Star Trek 2 also came with both cuts branched.
Nothing less i expect from star trek 6 on remastered blu ray.

So far this remastered Blu Rays are a mirror image to their UHD counterparts.
Why should it be different with Part 6?

But Paramount would do themselves a favor in releasing final Specs (Picture, Sound...everything) because there is a LOT of confusion on the internet about those releases......
Ehm......

And the previous release of the director's Edition on DVD had all the footage that was not in the directors Edition in two separate deleted scenes sections. I'm guessing they have some random lines of dialogue from here and there in the movie. Possibly the brief scene of the security guard getting Zapped by the probe, although it is disputed whether or not that scene was shot or just rehearsed. I hope I'm wrong and they have some deleted scenes we've never heard of.
I've only ever seen this film once - maybe twice - on television in the '80s - so most of this will probably be new to me. I was always more of a fan of the '60s show than the feature film series.

Did some reading up on the SLV, is there a scene included where McCoy is manhandled by a pair of security guards into a transporter?

That sounds like a scene from the novel and I'm 99.9% sure it was not filmed. It's definitely not in the script. There was a scene in an earlier version of The Script where Kirk speaks with the Admiral before he boards the Enterprise but that was definitely scrapped and not shot.

I’m getting the North American (3-disc) deluxe set. I like the collectible packaging and 1979-era swag reproductions. Cool idea to pay homage to that pivotal time in Trek fandom. The release of TMP was a huge event.

Not interested in the overseas 5-disc version; I already have the theatrical Blu released last year, so that’s one less differentiating factor… plus I hate those age-rating badges on U.K. video releases. And in Canada at least, the price difference between the two versions is negligible, after shipping, as far as I can tell.

I just read the novelization, and I don’t remember any scene of McCoy getting manhandled by guards.

By the way, I strongly recommend the novelization to any fan of the movie. Plenty of insight into Spock's arc, the Kirk vs. Decker tension, even V’Ger’s impressions of various characters, as observed thru the Ilia probe. And more. Check it out.

Although there’s an 8% off code on eBay so that takes almost a fiver off! Worth switching the order to TES just for that. Or at least it would if I hadn’t mashed the buy button by mistake before entering the code. I hate the eBay app

You know I wouldn't be surprised if next year they do a Theatrical 4k/Blu combo that doesn't include the DE and release the same time as the Next Generation films in 4k.

Since I am starting over from a major theft some years ago, I am getting the 5-disc UK release of The Complete Adventure from Amazon UK. I am in the USA and my concerns are what condition it may arrive in, and the possibility (however unlikely) that the BD's may be region locked.

There is no way in hell the Blu-rays will be region locked, none, nill, zero, zilch.

FYI If you don't have Paramount+ to watch this version, VUDU has it in HDX.

Paramount shenanigans - they haven't resubmitted the theatrical cut! They'd rather release it "unrated" than as a "G" - which to many means "kids movie".

Good catch on Ben-Hur. Error on their (MPA's) part.

She was so beautiful, I am so heart broken. I grew up watching Kirk and crew in all their adventures...she will be sorely missed, an Icon...she is with the stars now.
