In other news, I may be backed up on my HT plans! I rejoin Sean (if he still is nowadays) in the free-agent market! Things weren't working out, so my woman and I had to separate. I assume the entire lease, but keep most of the furniture. Which means a huge increase in the housing budget, so - now I'll just probably start turning upstairs into a chilling lounge.

I might even start posting here more! But fortunately, things are going excellently at work.

Ryan, it was an inevitability. We couldn't reconcile our work and career ambitions with one another. Once I started working, I became completely career obsessed, and she was already always working, too. We just couldn't live together right now, regrettably. But it was a mutual, amiable parting. Fortunately, thanks to this job, I can assume the entire lease. I would've hated to lose this place!

Lol. The past week I've been on 3 dates with the same one. I even met her mom and then it was a double date with us & her sister & sisters husband. Idk where I'm sitting. I think I'm single but not really. "Stuck in limbo"... I could've had most of my receivers cost covered on what I've spent this week among us. Valentines Day is coming up I see. I am going to have make sure I'm single. I got avr/surround sound setup to finish. Priorities my HT brothers...priorities.

I'll tell you what, I just don't have the patience or time to do that "dating" stuff again. "Tell me about yourself"...."laugh"....."fun!".....blah. Too much work, ya know?

My new housing budget is 40% of my total net income, so I have to tone down elsewhere. So there goes my new front soundstage, for now - until I either get another raise, I'll have to hold off.

I'm not a fan of the scar as big as it is right now. I got some anti-scar stuff and within months I hope it looks a lot better than it does now. However it has drawn attention from curious females so the love shown my way has increased. I've been more sociable lately and my personality/humor wins over the majority when I'm in this state of mind. So I'm making it work. Sucker for love..posts??? What nonsense is that? Past 3-4 years have been involved with crazy girls who I have loved and it seems like a revolving door. I'm a good 3 months removed from any of that nonsense.

I know the feeling on the housing thing JJ. I've never lived by myself till now and my costs doubled when I moved here this past summer. The HT has taken a few setbacks and a few leap forwards. As long as I don't get involved in a serious relationship any time soon I'll have my place back up to par by spring/summer.

My friends! Long have I neglected you.

I'm wrapping up that upstairs lounge system. I finally fixed all my post-separation finances thanks to a set of promotions at work (can you believe its only been 5 months? From CAD drafting monkey to construction supervisor) - but since I don't think I'll really change anything downstairs, I devoted my efforts to my loft lounge.

And this is how I have it now. I'm installing the wall-mount today, probably get some decent 40-42" LCD later in the week. I think me and erict are 95% there on a deal that would send his old Yamaha 663 receiver my way (need the pre-outs for my Marantz amp) - ordering some of those new Boston Acoustics A-series bookies today probably. Then just missing a nice couch.

And would you believe it? 7 months at my condo, and no noise complaints yet. I may have won it in the good neighbors contest.
