^ What an incredible waste of money. I want to see this movie in a packed house, it'll be more fun that way

What's the policy if people don't show up by a certain time? It's not like he rented the theatre, the management could start letting people in eventually, they'd lose an absolute fortune on concessions.

Hopefully he'll be giving out tickets to his nearest and dearest.

Got the Kylo Ren action figure I was looking for the last couple of days. I've never been much of a collectibles guy, I have some PT action figures from when I was a kid but for TFA I thought these Black Series ones looked great so I got Kylo and Phasma (haven't opened the latter yet, might just gift it to someone). Just thought I'd share a picture cuz the figure itself is really nice, and I'm just super stoked for the movie at this point.

Got my advanced/blocked screening. With my girl, cousins and Dad. Dad introduced me to SW long ago, bought me the beta max tapes and brought me to cinemas, time to return the favor. Its twice the price of normal IMAX, but free SW cup and cards and snacks. And a day ahead.

CANT WAIT!!!

Bought two tickets for opening night December 17th at the reserved seating theatre! I noticed earlier this week they added a couple more show times for that night so they had some good seats left! Can't wait!!!

Hmm. I've been incredibly psyched about everything I've learned since the second trailer premiered in March… but this is the first link that has me "backing off" my excitement a little. Just a little.

[Show spoiler]The plot seems very "sectional", like box-cars on a train rather than one over-arching narrative. First the good guys go here -- and the bad guys show up: battle ensues. Then the good guys go there -- and the bad guys show up: battle ensues. Then some good guys are captured, so the rest of the good guys have to go over there: battle ensues. I don't know; I find modern movies aren't very good at having a single plot carry a movie anymore. A few "red flags" are up for me, but I'm still hopeful.

EDIT: LOL, five minutes after writing this post I've already come to terms with my reservations. (After all, if I can come to terms with the prequels, I can learn to justify ANYTHING!)

[Show spoiler]The "sectional" quality that I was complaining about is actually very much in line with the old Flash Gordon serials, which is exactly what this whole series is supposed to harken back to. So I take everything back. This is old-school serial fun.
