Default Disney 3D 2 for £18.00 Amazon UK.

Amazon UK has a 2 3D Blu-rays for £18 deal right now on Disney.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/promotio...A3P33O8Q20M09K

I got four of them, but only two of them were 2 for 18, must only allow one promo per order. Oh well the other two were still only 2 for 20. I could have done two separate orders but the shipping was more expensive that way.

Yeah they all showed £10 each on the order summary page, but over on the side where it said promotion applied it only took off £2 instead of £4.

I'm going to give it another day or two for them to work out the kinks since it's definitely coming out to £20 at the moment for the first pair of titles. Still a good deal but this promotion is lasting awhile so I'm not too worried about missing it.

Ordered Salazar's Revenge 3D by itself since that's the only one I needed.

£20, too off £4 instead of £6 to get it down to the £18 they’re saying it’s supposed to be.

Edit: upon reviewing it at the checkout phase, it does seem to be working correctly, just a weird way of handling it. Starts out at 24 but knocks it down to 20, then removes an additional 2 at the end plus shipping brings it to 22.07 like you said. Don’t know why they’re applying two separate discounts haha.

Well I have time to reorder again. Got an email from Amazon UK saying that the order was suspicious and so they cancelled the order, deleted the payment methods I had saved in my account and reset my password. And of course this affected both my UK and US Amazon account. My first experience using Amazon UK sure is making me want to not use it again. But not many options since 3D in the US is going away.

Well before I try and order again I am going to call my card issuer and see if there are any issues, and then ill start a chat with Amazon UK and keep them on the line as I go through the checkout process.
I just hope none of the ones I want go out of stock, especially because I am ordering Thor Ragnarok at the same time. And yes I tried the order with and without TR in my basket just in case it was messing up the system and it still only gave me one 2 for 18 deal. The other two were 2 for 20.

Zavvi has the same deal (2 for £17.99) and their shipping to the US is cheaper.

https://www.zavvi.com/offers/disney/multibuy/3d.list

I bought Cars 3 3D, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge 3D.

EDIT: Im just overthinking things. The difference is not big enough to want to deal with two separate orders ill just buy all of them on Zavvi.

So because of the way Zavvi and Amazon UK handle VAT it looks like its actually cheaper to buy the four special deal movies I want using Zavvi and buy Thor on Amazon.

Thor by itself is
£22.65 on Zavvi with shipping but only £18.08 with shipping on Amazon UK.

Zavvi is way cheaper than Amazon UK on the four movies I want that are two for £17.99 because of the shipping and allowing the offer to be used multiple times.

Order done, hopefully this one goes more smoothly than the last. Although when I first looked at the estimated dispatch date I saw 07/03/18 and I thought why is it going to take four months. Then I remembered they do the date differently there.

Since Zavvi ships for a single flat rate shipping charge of £2.33 ($3.20 USD) it can often be quite a bit cheaper if you're making a big purchase esp since AMazon changes the VAT removal process to lose their price advantage. Zavvi is also allowing multiples of two without an issue which Amazon still appears to be allowing only one sale pair per order which makes Zavvi even a better deal

2D Disney 2 for £14.99

3D Disney 2 for £17.99

Disney Steelbooks 2 for £20

Most Disney items are Region Free but there are some older releases that were B locked or B/C only
The only Disney 3D item that was ever B locked was the special limited release of Ratatouille.
Up, BOLT, and Nightmare Before Christmas 3D were Region Free, but the 2D disc in the combo packs was B locked to make for strange events. Those 3D items aren't part of the sale, but in case folks are looking at non-sale items. Also there are a few itmes like Need For Speed and THE BFG that are Disney in the US, but are not Disney in most of Europe -- those items are usually B locked in the UK. Other countries do have Region A compatible releases of those items though.
Region B or B/C Only
-Bolt 2D
-Dumbo
-Enchanted
-Jungle Book (1967)
-Jungle Book 2
-Meet the Robinsons
-The Nightmare Before Christmas 2D
-Pinocchio
-The Princess and the Frog
-Ratatouille 2D and 3D
-Sleeping Beauty
-Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
-Sorcerers Apprentice
-Tinker Bell
-Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure
-Up 2D
-Wall-e
-The Wild
Hariseldon,
Is Cars 3D region free?

Ok how long does it normally take for the order status screen on Zavvi to go from processing to the next step? My order has been processing for almost 20 hours now.

I would be substantially better if they applied the discount before removing VAT, but that's the way these deals and Lightning Deals always go. Actually they should remove the VAT after discount if they did it correctly and you compared the relative deal US vs UK under non-Sale rules vs Sale rules

If they sold the individual items for £9ea, the price to the US would be £7.50ea plus shipping so that means either International Customers are getting less of a Deal or we essentially are paying the same VAT as UK customers. Since Amazon doesn't have to give the VAT to the government for a US customer like it would for a UK customer, guess where the extra $$$ go.
I actually just realized this today. I created a UK address to compare the costs. The discount on these Disney promo is definitely applied differently and non-UK customers are clearly getting screwed (especially since Amazon UK started collecting tax/duties for CDN orders, so it's almost like getting taxed twice).

Looking over my orders they've been applying this promo incorrectly on non-UK orders for several years. This would add up over the years to quite a bit of money, and i'm guessing it's probably illegal because they're either pocketing the VAT (which would be tax fraud) or they're charging non-UK customers more for these Disney products just during the promo periods.

We need a UK lawyer

Less than that. After shipping it's under $30 from Zavvi.

The Cars 3 3D I ordered from Zavvi arrived today. That's pretty quick. Especially for Zavvi. Probably faster than I would have gotten an Amazon US order placed on the same day last week. Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge 3D shipped separately, so I'm not sure when it will arrive.

Got Thor from today. The 4 3d's I bought at the same time shipped a day after Thor so maybe they will be in tomorrow.
