I got Discotek's release of Message from Space: Galactic Wars. It has the 27 episodes advertised on the cover but also an extra episode which is not mentioned on the front or the back, and is listed in the menu as "MOVIE". It's not the Message from Space movie, nor is it the American digest film "Swords of the Space Ark". It's 21 minutes long, and is in cinemascope (whereas the rest of the episodes are 4:3). I haven't watched much of the show yet so I can't say for certain but it sort of looks like it might be a recap? Except a recap where they've reshot things. (For example, it opens with the villain attacking some peasants in a rock quarry setting; jumping around in episode 2 of the series proper I found a sequence like that, but they don't seem to actually be the same footage.) It ends with an ad for the show giving the TV timeslot. Maybe a slightly glossier episode that summarizes chunks of the show that was screened in theaters prior to a feature film to promote the series? Was wondering if anyone here can shed some light.

Has the US release of Garo Season 1 Part 1 gone OOP? I bought the rest of the series from RightStuf during their black friday sale but Season 1 Part 1 was sold out and seems to be unavailable everywhere

There were 2 copies on amazon.ca earlier in the week but I hesitated and the next day they were gone
