I'm going to pull the trigger on the Best Buy exclusive cut. It's got all the features of the standard def disc, plus better cover art, and I could give two shits about 3D.

As far as the Target exclusive with extra bonus features go, I don't really need another 35 minutes telling me how much fun it was to shoot this movie, how much the Rock loved all the guns, how much Lady Jaye is a "take charge, bad ass girl who can hold her own with the boys, etc.." (not sure if that's what she says, but that seems to be par for the course for most action heroines in an EPK).

The steelbook is attractive, but with everything else coming out this week, my money is better spent than on something other than 2 copies of the same release.

My store had the cardboard display with 8 steelbooks when it was opened up.

Dammit!!! I just got back from Best Buy, and realized I bought the regular 3D version istean of the Exclusive Extended Cut. This is what happens when you shop while trying to conduct business on the phone!!!
And I hate those people that walk around with their phones glued to the side of the their head!

Oh well I'll head back later today, and pick up the Exclusive. Man, I can't believe I did that!

It's available in-store and there's a healthy supply at mine.

Dont think ive seen this answered, but alot of ppl with the same question. The best buy exclusive sticker on the front of the slip says that it contains 2 versions of the film, the unrated extended action cut, and the theatrical version. So its not just the extended cut.

Hm you know im not sure. That could be the case. I took a quick look at the discs but did not try them in my player. Dvd does say theatrical and blu ray disc just said "feature film" i think. Someone is gonna have to pop in the blu ray disc and confirm if thats the case. At work now so i cant try this out.

Just grabbed a copy of the Walmart Steelbook. My store looks like it may have only gotten 6 or so copies in.

I didn't confirm by playing it, but the back says "Disc 1 - Blu-Ray Extended Action Cut + Special Features" and "Disc 2 - DVD Theatrical Version", so I'll be surprised if the theatrical version is on the Blu-Ray disc.

Here ya go, mate! After comparing the backs of both this one i bought, and the standard blu ray package, it looks like the extended cut may not include the commentary from the director included on the standard version. Hope this helps

Thanks! I pre-ordered the 2 disc blu at FYE for $14.99 (free w/ trades), so I might have to get the BBY one also.
