There were plenty of pressed botleg and pirate CDs back in the 80s long before the advent of recordable optical discs. Eastern Europe (Russia and the like) and Asia is flooded with pressed counterfeit media to this day.

ps3bd_owner said that instead of buying a spanish pirate BD one could just download a movie from a streaming service and burn it on a BD-R which is nonsense. That's what Aaron Wilson rightfully pointed out.

No, it is released by Divisa.

It would be so nice if there was a site that really reviewed discs from Europe and other countries. Comparisons from the informed would be great.

So little information seems to exit. Some films appear to be highlighted by accident.

De sitios web que los venden y de reseñas de Amazon de estos lanzamientos. Algunos de los títulos tienen "Grabación realizada en Blu Ray-R" en el reverso, pero en otros hay que ir buscando para encontrar la información.

Solo compro bootlegs si están prensados, y los investigo antes de invertir dinero en ellos.

A good portion of Spanish releases are grey area releases so they aren't exactly bootlegs.

But yeah, all of those are probably BD-Rs. Early Spanish releases were all BD-R, but lately they're all pressed.

To my eye, the compression for EXTREME MEASURES is a little noisier and clunkier than TRUE LIES, YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES, DESPERATE MEASURES, and TURBULENCE, but the print used is bright, steady and clean. A true studio-sanctioned release would no doubt trounce this but if you, like me, operate from a buying philosophy of “is it better than the DVD?”, it easily earns your $$$. And bonus points for the trailer being in English (a delightful improvement over the Spanish-only trailers on DESPERATE MEASURES and TURBULENCE).
