I mean through the apps on the TV. Since there is no HBO app on LG TVs, but you can add HBO to your Hulu/Prime account, I'm curious if you can access HBO through the TVs Hulu or Prime app.

I was going to post this in the home theater section but I figured I would start here first. My Onkyo RZ 820 is connected to my tv via hdmi 2 ARC. When I go into device connector it says it’s connected and shows me the live feed as normal.
The problem I am running into is when I watch one of the built-in TV apps such as Vudu. It will load but I get no sound and the receiver continues to play the sound of the input so if my satellite is on it will continue playing the sound and not switch over to the tv. The LG sound out option is set to Audio out optical HDMI ARC but I get nothing. So as of now...the only way to watch one of the apps is to switch to the internal speaker and turn off my receiver. Any idea what could be causing it to not play the sound through my HT? I feel like something with the Onkyo is overriding things but was hoping someone on here would have a solution. I figure switching the input to tv would help along with messing with the lg sound out functions and still nothing. Last edited by sfmarine; 11-24-2019 at 07:16 PM. |

Also my receiver is from last year a Yamaha I’m not sure it has all the capabilities I need. I need Dolby atmos and vision right ? |

I plan on getting some Dolby atmos Speakers to add to my 5.1. I also bought the new Panasonic 4K player. Edit: bought a denon receiver for 350 the one that has Dolby capabilities that my Yamaha just from 2 years ago didn’t have. Excited to see how this will turn out . |

Rtings.com measured a 3.46 dE on the white balance, with a color temperature of 5929K. Of course each individual C9 is going to have some variance, and there will probably be some variance between straight ootb and 2-300 hours later. I suspect most of the reported testing is done with very few hours on the panels.

Looking at purchasing either an LG E8 series or B9 series any advice? Is one better than the other?

Small differences. The B9 is more equal to last years C8 IIRC in terms hardware power.
The biggest one is that of connectivity - the 2019 models add support for some HDMI 2.1 features and Apple TV app via an update. |

Well good folks, after decades of dreaming away, the day finally came this weekend where I went all in on an LG OLED (55" C9 model) with a yahmaha 207 soundbar to go with it (I live in an apartment so no sense in getting a full surround system with neighbors right next door). Once I get things set up and looking proper I'll show off some pictures.

With what little I've used so far, I've gotten a fairly good amount of depth and kick out of the system without feeling like its too much, even if my neighbor is a loud **** anyway and could use a little annoyance.

Got the 05.10 40 update on my C8. Could not find any information, so decided to test Real Cinema with pangeddon Casino. I'm noticing no stutter what so ever

I had an LCD for the longest time and did not have to worry about burn in at all. Now I have a OLED I have to be cognitive of it, most channels have a transparent logo, but CNN (which I don't watch hardy at all) has a big red CNN logo in the corner, it's almost as if CNN doesn't want OLED owners to watch their channel?

When will LG get the AppleTV app? The AppleTV app has been totally wasted on Samsung because Samsung TVs will not do Dolby Vision. And when will Disney+ App fix the Dolby Atmos problem? I can't get Dolby Atmos through the Disney+ App on my 2019 LG OLED that does Dolby Atmos... Fix it now Disney you multi billion dollar company...
