When you sub crawl,do you put the sub up on your couch/chair? Can you just use the calibration sound on your receiver?

Well i did it before and the best spot was in the corners, but now my speakers are there, but yea you can put it on the couch, but i would just put a cd in that has some bass tones then just crawl on the floor and when you here the bass you like put it there.

I'm wondering if I should get a 2nd Legend or should I get something like an svs PB12 nsd for movies. So that way I would have the best of both worlds?

I would say two is always good - for my part I have nowhere to put a second, and if the Empire can pressurize 8,000 cu ft of air in my place, then I don't need one.

You're getting some dead spots in your listening area? Having two subs requires pretty good calibration to ensure they're playing cooperatively.

8,000 cu ft. That's a monster room. Mines probably like 1,200. I use my 12" klipsch in conjunction with the Legend and it fill the room a lot more. I haven't really fired up a good movie yet to test the Legend. I'll have to see what it can handle 1st I guess. If it can handle Transformers/Tron,then I'll just get another legend. If not, maybe I need a sub more geared for HT..

I will probably do dual legends. That should fill the room nicely. I just hope they can handle high caliber action movies ok and hit some deep notes.

My dual legends work great in my space (11x20x9), although I don't use them nearly enough

Your room is similar to mine. I haven't been able to really let the legends loose because of the roomate factor. Rarely do I listen at anything above normal levels.

When I sit and watch a movie I normally watch at -10dB to -12dB with zero being reference on my 4311.

Is your area enclosed or is that the footprint of your HT but its open to other parts of the house, because that will make a big difference with how they pressurize the room. In my case that is the size of the sealed garage...er room
