Unfortunately, this function is no longer working for me either. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and no go. I'm using the iOS version, FWIW.

Yeah, I think it may have stopped working after I upgraded to my new phone, too.

I never did manage to get it to work on my home wi-fi. When I'm at home and want to use the app, I switch my phone over to my carrier's data plan instead of my wi-fi, and then it works fine. When I'm done with the app, I switch my phone back to wi-fi. This is the only app I've had this problem with.

I know you posted this about two years ago but just wanted to say thanks. I had to reinstall the app a while back and thought I had lost all my DVD entries. You saved me lots of time adding them back in for no reason.

Are there any plans on fixing the mobile app for iOS? I’ve had the same issue since November 2020

I'm glad I'm not the only one having the issue with upgrading their phone and the bar code reader stopped working. I guess its the multiple lenses messing it up? I upgraded from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 12 pro max. Thankfully I still have my iPad 4 mini and iPhone 8 which work still.

Thought I would resurrect this suggestion. I love it!!! Have a native ATV version of the app would be very cool. I'd love to be able to display my collection on the big screen.

But that would be a lot of work to re-implement something which you can already do? Just browse to https://www.blu-ray.com/community/co...&action=hybrid (for your profile!), on your big screen. Surely the ATV has a web browser?

I don't think the tv has a web browser. But AirPlay-ing the iPhone app (or the web page you referenced) works great.

I suppose one advantage of an tv native app would be if it could link directly to your iTunes Store purchases of the movies in your collection.

Awesome!

My worry would be the amount of sheer hard software dev work involved, for free, for a relatively niche thing. That feature would only benefit a small subset of users so I don't think it could be justified. I'm delighted with a mobile app for scanning and the website for browsing, personally!

Agreed. There wouldn't be much point to creating a native Apple TV app. Better to focus resources on improving and maintaining the iPhone app.

I'd agree, except I would say the Android app instead.

Only kidding. Both of course.

But not the "Microsoft Windows Phone" version if there ever was one. LOOOOOL!

Came here to find if anyone had found a solution to the bar code scanner not working on the app. I tried to email the developers, but none of the usual addresses work and they don't have any contact info listed anywhere.

Anyone know how to contact blu-ray.com support?
