Notice: Don’t tell me to go to the "Handhelds, Mobiles, Tablets, Apps etc" section because that’s where questions go to die. Hardly anyone visits it.
I have the first generation of AirPods, and they are getting pretty bad now. The right one only charges to 80% and they keep disconnecting. I’m looking to upgrade, but not sure if I should get AirPods Pro or RayCons. They are both around the same size, but the RayCons are cheaper. * What are the pros and cons of both? * Do they both offer wireless charging? * Anything else you can add? |

Is this a thread for airpods or headphones in general? I will never again purchase or use any type of in-ear headphone because they always end up falling out of my ears. I'm not shoving them into my ear canals lol, besides I think they're uncomfortable as hell. Now, if we're talking headphones in general, then I recommend the Philips SHP-9500 full-size phones. They sound great, are super comfy and are priced very reasonably.

Those Raycons look nice.
Both of them have wireless charge but it looks like the Airpods Pro has active noise cancelling while the Raycons are only passive. Airpod Pros are more than double the price but it could be a good buy if their ANC is good. I've fallen into the budget earbud and headphone game. I bought a set of Earfun Free for $40 and they sound pretty damn good for the money. My sister bought a set of Mpow M30 Plus for $30 and I feel like those sound even better. Also, the case acts as a 2600mAh battery and you can use it to charge your devices in a pinch (if you carry a cable around). I realize my post does nothing to assist you in your purchase. ![]() Last edited by beefytwinkie; 08-14-2020 at 08:10 PM. |

Whenever I see someone wearing Airpods, I'm reminded of a certain scene in the movie, There's Something About Mary.
I'm thinking of getting some V-Moda's: https://www.v-moda.com/us/en/products/bassfit-wireless I have two of their products and have been happy with both. I'm thinking that won't change with getting those BassFits. |

I think there are lots of good analogues to airpods. You may check headphones market in amy of online stores or watch some video-reviews on Youtube.

If you want custom made headphones/earphones check out Big Ear's website. They are a bit pricey but they're worth it.

I am looking at LG TONE FREE FN7 to replace my fading powerbeats. Anyone else who works out use these? Want to see if they're good for running before I plop down some of my money to order some.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/soundco...B&gclsrc=aw.ds Also looking at those which seem to be more popular. |

Jabra’s get great reviews.
I see B&W have dropped a successor to their PX7. They’ve named it the, wait for it, …PX7 S2. I don’t regret getting my Sony’s, they sound great, but I sure wish I’d considered the PX7’s. |

I still love my Jabra's. Battery life with the charging box is just ridiculous, I now find myself charging less than once a month. Think with the overrated Powerbeats earbuds I had I was charging 2-3 times a month so it's a nice change. Plus the lack of wires is such a nice change.
