Sony Black Crush on late-2014 / early-2015 BDs

Very frustrating. I'd like a replacement Fury disc, but I doubt Sony will do anything. They'll just deny a problem exists and say nobody has reported anything...

So, how will, they explain their "corrected" discs in Europe if there wasn't any problem to begin with?
And it's not that another company tackled with this.

They won't.

Does the same release in Europe have 2 different versions, is it truly a corrected version or has it always been better?

Well, correct masters have always existed since the streaming copies and DVDs look fine. For some reason, a technician botched the BD transfers.

The German BD of The Interview just uses the unaltered master.

I don't expect Sony fixes the incorrect transfers on Blu-ray. Most of their customers have no idea about this issue. I assume we'll see a silent fix slip into the supply chain.

Yep, I don't think they're gonna 'fess up with a big public announcement because most people aren't aware there's anything wrong. We'll probably have to wait for the next hack to get their real thoughts on the matter.

Fingers crossed they do a replacement program though instead of just sneaking a silent fix out the next time they replicate a new batch of discs. I can see it now, it'll be like Han quietly recommending to Chewie that they replace the negative power coupling after Threepio's already told him what's wrong.

I'm sure that's possible, but that's why everyone needs to politely contact Sony, so they know how many people are concerned about this. Hopefully that will sway them to:

A) correct all the titles, even the catalog titles
B) offer a replacement program that covers all the titles

That said, when I got Warners to correct FRANTIC, they never officially acknowledged the audio mistake. They silently reissued the disc with the exact same barcode, ISBN, and disc number. The only way to tell the corrected discs was a revised sticker on the outside of the plastic. And they never did a replacement program. I had to rebuy the disc after a good samaritan notified us on here that the new discs were out. Luckily I spoke to a very kind customer service operator at Amazon, where I bough both FRANTIC discs, who let me return my first one for a refund, even though it was a year or two old by then.

By the way, where are all the people now who whined about those of us who noticed the crushed blacks? Who said our TVs were on the wrong setting, and that the crushed discs looked "better"?

I had sent 2 emails (about MBFW), they didn't respond to the 2nd one.
Maybe it's time to send another one too about this title, at least to ask if they will release a new disc in Europe..
I want this so much!

I hope whoever sends emails, doesn't forget this movie too, and the others of course, and focus only on The Interview and Fury.

Nope, THE EQUALIZER somehow escaped the black crush, even though it came out in the middle of it.
