Apparently a 4K version of Stranger Things is coming out after Black Friday. Perfect timing for Target to stop shipping movies to Canada.

Mission accomplished, Wozman. I managed to hit three Targets tonight. Don't back out on me now.

It is actually pretty cool in that it contains both DVDs and BDs in a VHS case.

There's a forum post about it. One Target in NY sold it early (poster has a copy in hand). Others phoned their local stores and were given a release date of either Nov. 28 or Dec. 5. Either way, it is real and will be out soon.

Greg, if Wozman backs out, i'd be very happy to buy the extra copy off you!

When did they stop shipping to Canada? I'm supposed to receive a copy of GoT S7 from them next month...

Got a standard form-letter response from a different rep via email today saying 'we don't sell items in those categories'. So it was exactly as useless a reply as you can imagine after their last email to me. So I sent a follow-up email. Again.

Maybe they are trying to frustrate me into giving up...

I give up... their last email which I only received yesterday says those categories are gone 'but may be re-evaluated in the future'.

RIP intl.target.com

Yeah, even the Coco digibook that's available for pre order on their site right now, says it won't ship when you go to checkout.

In case anybody has any unfulfilled Blu-ray or DVD orders from prior to the policy change, I received my copy of Game of Thrones Season 7 from them this week.

Thank you for contacting us about the Target on Borderfree website. We appreciate your feedback!

As of 11/01/17, we are limiting the items we sell internationally.

We chose these categories – clothing, shoes, accessories, baby, home, kitchen & dining, furniture and patio & garden – because they are popular categories with our international guests. We will evaluate the results of these changes as we work to deliver a great Target experience for our international guests.

If you were trying to purchase items in the categories previously listed but the website still did not allow you to go through with your order, please email us back.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are continuously evaluating our business and making changes based on results, guest feedback and shifts in our strategies.

Thank you for shopping with Target on Borderfree. Happy Friday!

Sincerely,

Sarah
Target on Borderfree
So while I replied with the categories I most recently purchased, please do the same using their email:

Not a glitch: permanent decision.

Bumping this up, I was checking out some media listings on Target.com and I noticed it looks like they could be shipped to Canada again.

Same terrible shipping prices but if there is that one exclusive you want no matter the cost, it seems you can order it.

I just ordered two copies of the Last Jedi exclusive. Shipping for one was $26, shipping for two was $22! Tried a bunch of promo codes, and even adding stuff to get over $100 none of them worked. Didn’t want to miss out on this one, and it was still cheaper than any eBay option. Take a look for Rogue One Target which I got last year, with free shipping, and you’ll see why I couldn’t wait.

Welp, just placed my first ever order with Target.com ... had to go through Borderfree, and looks like they charged me for the entire order upfront right away, in Canadian dollars? Huh, was kind'a hoping to get charged as the items ship since they're all pre orders with different release dates.

Got Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom 4K UHD, Deadpool 2 4K UHD, Incredibles 2 4K UHD, Solo: A Star Wars Tale 4K UHD, and Avengers: Infinity War 4K UHD... all the exclusives of course, that come with a book.

Total CAD for all 5 was $276.85 which works out to $55.37 CAD each after tax and shipping... not great, but cheaper than traveling to the US for me lol And they're digibooks! Which I prefer over Steelbooks...

Now to see how quickly they'll arrive...
