The releases is scheduled in UK, France and Germany for September. Guess it will be the same for the US and Canada.
But as anime companies currently announcing their July titles, it's no surprise Weathering With You wasn't announced yet.

Hopefully, Universal/GKIDS' other foreign films (especially the Studio Ghibli films, Mary and the Witch's Flower, Mirai and Weathering With You) get 4K releases just like Parasite.
MFKZ once had a 4K listing but it never got a 4K release and Parasite was Universal's first foreign film released in 4K.

It’s not guaranteed that Universal will release Weathering With You on behalf of GKIDS. It’s still very possible that the home media release could end up being handled by Shout Factory.

Most of GKIDS’ Studio Ghibli titles (except for Grave of the Fireflies and the titles originally released by Universal Home Entertainment) are handled physically by Shout Factory, and all the GKIDS Studio Ghibli titles (except Grave) are handled digitally/VOD by Shout Factory (including the titles originally distributed physically by Universal).

Fireworks and Lu Over the Wall (both films distributed by Shout Factory on physical and digital/VOD) have the Universal logo on their Netflix streaming versions despite the fact Universal didn’t handle home media distribution for both films. Granted, it’s possible GKIDS licensed the subscription streaming/pay TV rights separately to Universal.

Although I would prefer Universal to release the film for GKIDS so that it comes with a Movies Anywhere digital code (which Shout Factory doesn’t participate in), it’s possible that we are more likely to see a Steelbook or Collector’s Edition release with Shout Factory. Shout Factory is releasing Steelbooks for Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, and Promare this month. Although I admit I would be more interested in a North American Collector’s Edition like the earlier Studio Ghibli Collector’s Editions (with a booklet and soundtrack) that Shout Factory released.

I was guessing that disc would be Weathering With You for GKids, but it isn't. They could do a UHD of it, but if so, Justin wouldn't be doing it.

Universal is doing a 4K of Parasite so Weathering With You probably has a chance if it's with Universal (Shout! Factory only did 4K for some documentaries but they are going to release The Deer Hunter in 4K, too bad they haven't done any 4K releases of the John Carpenter movies).
Hopefully, this means Universal would also re-release Mary and the Witch's Flower in 4K.

Do the UHD get any benefit for this besides expanded color range? No extra audiotrack like Mary/Innocence right? Some say HDR was a benefit on last movie and other say it really wasn't.

Perhaps lossless audio for the English theme song version. It's lossy on the BD because of bitrate limitations.
