And they refuse to get them. They always post the same bs line in every thread made about settings not found.

The tv is being used as my pc monitor. Not sure if the settings would help or not.

According to Kevin Miller (from tweaktv.com), try the settings from the Sony KDL-52V5100 (since it's similar to yours) so give them a try and see what you think:

Picture Modes
Picture Mode : Standard
Color Temperature : Warm
Aspect Ratio : Full
Picture Settings
Backlight : 3
Picture (Contrast) : 95
Brightness : 54
Color : 41
Hue : R6
Color Temperature : Warm
Sharpness : Min
Noise Reduction : Off
Advanced CE : Off
Gamma : Low
Clear White : Off
Live Color : Off
Advanced Settings
Cinemotion : Auto 1
Game : Off
MotionFlow : Off
White Balance : Factory Default

NOTE: You'll more than likely have to lower the picture (contrast) since your set is two sizes smaller.

Why does it need so much red push (R6)? If that's to make up for Warm 2, maybe it's better to go with Warm 1 or neutral Color Temp and turn down the red.

Sorry to jack up this thread but I cant find any place to ask this question. I have a Sony KDL 55hx729 with the internet streaming and all. My old TV had a separate bravia link box which I streamed from which allowed me to connect it to my HT receiver and have my sound come through there. Yet with the new one I have no idea how to do it, I've even tried the optical cable and still nothing. And I have not used it since, I hate watching with TV speakers only anymore so it's just wasting away. Any suggestions?

Default Settings for the sony xbr- hx 929

Settings for Sony's XBR ~ 46/55/65 929 series, and the new XBR ~ 950 series also.
Settings are for 2D and are based on my personal preferences.(I also use for 3D viewing).

These settings do NOT require access to Mfg Svc menu.

It is critical to apply EXACTLY as listed for full effect !
After applying these settings allow yourself a little time, ( a few days to a week), to acclimate and get used to them, they may appear dark at first but you will get used to them.

**Every panel is different, and may require minor individual corrections to satisfy your personal satisfactions.

Please do let me know your results, thx.
