Default SAMSUNG: Share Your Custom Display Settings

This thread is intended for members to share their custom picture settings for all SAMSUNG model TV's.

To help make life easier for others...please try to include (but not limited to):

TV Model Number?
Weather it's an ISF Calibrated setting or Disc calibrated setting?
What Input Connection this setting is used for? (ex. HDMI, Component, Composite etc)
What device is connected? (dvd player, bluray player, cable tv ..etc)
What kind of room lighting you have? (dark, dim, bright etc)
Any key features that are turned on or that should be turned off?

Additional Info: *Calibrate Your HDTV*

*Please do not criticize settings being shared...it is a courtesy to those who cannot afford an ISF calibration or do not own a calibration dvd.

*Please also keep in mind that using someone else's settings may look good but it does not necessarily mean it will be ideal for your viewing pleasure and may require some tweaking.

*It is also NOT recommended for anyone to go into the Service Menu to make any adjustments.

Thanks for making this a sticky. I am going to have a lot of questions as to how everyone has their TV set-up.

I have a Samsung HL-T5687s LED 1080p TV.

Anyone that can share their settings to their TV that has a similar model would be greatly appreciated.

Samsung 32" LNT3242H

still playing around with all the settings to be honest. Not sure what I like yet. I have a calibration disc but it's standard def. and the sharpness cali pic never seems to change a bit going from 1 to 100. All in all I'm impresses with it for $900. No regrets here.
Have a Samsung Blackjack too. Sweet phone, don't care what anyone says about Samsung, all my stuff works!
Although I will be joining the XBR community soon with a nice 46" 4 series. woo!

P.S. samsung LNT3253h is the exact same TV but a newer model. Has a small white-blue light on the bottom of the TV and no side speakers though.

Edit: I suppose if I didn't post my current setting I would be thread pooping in a way, so here we go

Standard Def/HD cable hooked up via component cables provided by my cable company. Figured there was no need for HDMI seeing as how only a 1080i can get through anyways. These settings also seem to work quite well with my PS3 be it video games or blu-rays hooked up via HDMI. I like to keep the room dim to dark especially when watching movies.

(Bolded options are the most important)
Picture
Mode: Dynamic
Constrast: 80
Brightness: 30
Sharpness: 35
Color: 40
Tint: G58/R42
Backlight: 8
Color Tone: Cool1
Size: 16:9 or Just scan while in HDMI
Digital NR: Auto
Active Color: ON
DNIe: on

Sound
Mode: Custom
SRS TruSurround XT: on
Auto Volume: on
Internal Mute: off

seems to be working out nicely for me

Rent Rataouille and use its calibration tool

You need to take it off Dynamic, that's torch mode and damanging your PQ. You should also disable DNIE.

Use Standard on broadcase and cable and Movie on your Blu input.

I just bought the LN-T3253H for the bedroom, still playing with the settings (color) and think this is a great post!

I have no advice to pass on yet!

do you have auto volume on? When I first got my TV it was off and I needed to turn the volume up to like 60 or 70 to get a decent sound level, and with it was very statickey.

the DNIe has a demo mode. when it's one theres sort of a haze over the picture. looks much clearer and brighter with it on.

NOTE: After calibration, color was diminished beyond what I personally thought looked good. I adjusted color up a couple of notches after calibration to meet my color standard. Calibration made a noticeable difference in diminished heat output. Blu-Ray looks phenomenal.

NOTE:

Tried both the THX calibration on the Indiana Jones Trilogy DVD and PIXAR's Ratatouille Blu-ray. But I found the PIXAR one is kind of inaccurate.

Of course, the settings are subjective to a person's eyes. These what I preferred (at least in the "Detailed", the standard settings are calibrated). So, you may not agree when I put "Edge Enhancement" on and "Auto DNR" auto.

The blu-ray movies look the best with these settings for me.

By the way, does anyone know, if I turn the "Game Mode" off, if I play games extensively, will this affect the LCD TV?

PS: Thanks to Edh63 for the template.

I used to like the Standard mode with DNIE on, but after getting used to the Movie mode, and switching back and forth on various programming, standard give a blue tint to everything, where movie looks more normal.

may be your guys' cable box. Last cable box I had made a "white nose" if you will. Anytime a decent percentage of the screen was white or near white there was a really annoying static-like sound. I suppose it could just be the TV too, but I would investigate that first.

No cable box just cable line. Sorry I got off topic!.....

I forgot to mention that I used my headsets and the noise comes from the TV set and not the tv/hd channels.

Anyone with a Samsung TX-T3093WH on here? I'd like to see which settings are best.

Basically it's a 30" HD tube.

I'd like some calibration help. I've got the 120hz 40" Samsung LNT4071

Any help would be great. Right now I've just got it on the factory settings

Here's my recommendation to those posting and looking for calibration specs. I would use some here that are posted already for Plasma and LCDs so you can at least get your sets off of factory settings. If you feel you need to adjust from there, then do so to accommodate your personal taste. The problem though is this, you're not going to get into the service menu to get the deeper calibrations that you could get with ISF calibrations. Anything's better than factory settings.
