I have the UK equivalent of the 6050. Superb piece of kit.

Mine should be here tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting a "good" looking projector, vice the portable and nicely constructed - but crappy performing - LG HU80KA for home theater use.
Ultimately the HU80KA is nice for its design as an on-the-go projector, but damn, I've been fighting with the thing for a good year hoping for improvements that just aren't cutting it visually as a standalone HT projector.

EDIT: I plugged this monster in, and setup was a breeze. I noticed a gargantuan improvement immediately. Right out of the box this projector looks fantastic.
I can't wait to sit down with it and start tweaking things. But yeah... it's great.

What areas of PQ are you looking for improvements? I had a chance to see the LG in an A/V retailers showroom and was seriously considering it. I was stunned by how good the black levels and colors were. It had so much "pop" it looked 3D. What I didn't like about the image was the motion smoothing and sharpness looked maxed out because it was on 'out of the box' picture settings.

Upgraded form a 5030 last week. Loving it so far. Do miss the extra black levels my regular TV gives me though. And the loss of DV is a bummer but I still have the TV for that. But its half the screen size for me lol.

I got my 5050ub. In November and love it. As I had a very old Sony 720p projector not sure how it compares against other current projectors.

Very good protector for the money. For much improved, low cost, no hassle tone mapping...pair with the Panasonic 420.
