floor standing reading light

I am looking for a flashlight on the floor that is good for reading as a possible gift for my husband. He browsed it on the Serious Readers website. The company advertises a lot and the lanterns are very expensive. Do you have a flashlight from SR? Does it cost expensive? Or have you found a good alternative? What about this - bestlightguide.com I really got a John Lewis brand LED flashlight which we use as a bedside lamp and it's very good for reading, bright and easy to adjust, however, the floor light in the same style only comes in black and I would prefer grey (either silver or white). Any advice is welcome!
