Just picked this up. Pretty awesome techniques by some amazing (and personal favorites) writers. It really gets the juices flowing, especially when I write about fantasy and sci fi. Highly recommended.

I never thought I'd ever post in this thread because, as a major supporter of the convenience of ebooks, I've been rather offended by its "physical format only" exclusivity. However, I did just recently pick up this release, exclusive to hardback only:

The Pretender was one of my favorite shows when it was on, and I was always annoyed it was canceled before the story could wrap up. But I'm glad that the creators are releasing novels now. Even if they have basically rebooted, I'm just happy to have new Pretender stories to enjoy.

Picked up two of the reissues of Michael Crichton's early pulp novels (originally written under a pen name) that Hard Case Crime released last fall.

Love the vintage-looking covers HCC did for them.

Rewatched some episodes on DVD recently, and realized just how much I missed it, so will be nice to have some "new" stories. I'll pick up the third book when I get the chance.

Hit up a used book store today that I'd been wanting to check out for awhile and scored these. It kind of surprises me that nearly all of Peter Benchley's novels are out-of-print.

Also got these at Barnes & Noble.
