Default Doctor Sleep

I recently began reading Doctor Sleep for the first time, and the next thing I knew, almost 2 hours had passed. I still haven't finished it, not even close.

I'm surprised how good it is. It is creepy, interesting and has disturbing scenes. I think I like it better than The Shining (Doctor Sleep is the sequel to The Shining).

It doesn't take long for it to get good. The ghost scenes are there in no time, and that's definitely part of why I couldn't put the book down. If you liked The Shining, this continues the story. Within my 2 hours of reading, I saw certain images I don't think will ever leave me. I've read a few Stephen King books in the past (The Shining was one), but this just might be the best one. I wouldn't be surprised if it is his best book, or in the top five anyway.

What are your opinions on Doctor Sleep?

Good plot but my biggest takeaway from the novel was a realization that comes in the third act, which is a gut punch of truth and was incredibly moving. I won't elaborate but those who've read it probably know what I'm talking about.
