Just make sure you skip the parts where they tell horror stories of suprise rags. Those are rather disturbing.

I'm... I'm deeply sorry. I read the 7th book also. No one warned me.

I think part of my interest in reading died with that book.

You mean the ones where they are grocery shopping or at the mall in their brand new white True Religion jeans and all of a sudden they have red stains?!

Talk about being dumb.

I read that. I am trying to decide if I want to read book 2 - The Pirate King. I have read every book by Salvatore involving Drizzt. I hat to say that the books have gone steadily downhill, imo of course. Have you read his other books?

I am finishing up Game of Thrones by Martin.

I generally have a fiction and a non-fiction on the go at the same time. My current two are David Copperfield and Bounder! The Biography of Terry-Thomas.

Loving both of them.

Paradise Lost by John Milton......Hard as $h!t to completely understand . I know it's English but WTF. The only thing that keeps me in it is the fact that there are some of the best passages ever written in this book. ((Example); better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.; This is servitude, to serve the unwise. & The mind is its own place, and in it self Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.) The ultimate battle between good and evil.

I read this back in the mid 90's on my daily commute into London. I remember being paranoid about someone reading over my shoulder!

I tried to read The Sound and the Fury while my brother tries to read Gravity's Rainbow. Neither of us prevailed. A friend of ours tried to read Ulysses and couldn't get past some parts.

My wife left to house-sit for her sister this morning for a few days and had mentioned earlier this week that she was looking for a "good read" to take with her. When I was loading her bags into her car this morning I found Twilight on the front seat. I've not read the book, and it could be great for all I know, but I gave her some good natured grief for it all the same.

That's what spouses are for, right?

not bad....very easy reading...good story...definitely aimed towards females..a lot of emotional stuff...I like the author's twist on vampires...very interesting..

I've read a lot worse, and a lot better...its good brain-dead reading, IMO...

I am starting a big set next and wanted some light-hearted stuff first to clear my palate, if you know what I mean..
