Should have given Randy Quaid a cameo, Hollywood and his brother Dennis have turned their backs on him, what a shame.
Randy looks like a mountain man now.

Lots of people on both the love it or hate it sides. I went in with low expectations so I did find myself laughing at the movie. I'd rank it above Vegas and Europe... While behind Christmas and the original.

As a coaster nut I found it sad that of all the coasters at the "Wallyworld" they were at in this movie (six flags over Georgia) that they picked the absolute worst coaster to feature in the film (Ninja)...

Picked it up at Target for $10 they only had 1 copy left, the sale price originates from Target and no need to price match

So underrated. Gave it a blind buy on Amazon because of the low price, just watched it and I personally enjoyed it. Not an outstanding comedy but certainly one of the funniest of the year. The right amount of silly and ridiculous. 7/10

ditto. I really don't understand the hate -- this movie is surprisingly hysterical. Meanwhile, "Spy" got so much love, but I thought that was way too long and way not funny enough. I'm even gonna speak heresy here -- I laughed more at this Vacation than I did at any other Vacation movie. 10 bucks well spent.

I agree. This was the funniest. All the previous films are more nostalgic now but still lol for some scenes on Christmas and European (Eric Idle mainly).

Here's what I said about one scene in another post...

Quote:
It's been a few months since I've laughed so hard at a film. I've had to stop the film several times. The one bit with Christina Applegate doing that obstacle course at her old alma mater had me falling off the couch, peeing my pants, and gasping for air. My back hurt so bad from laughing so bad. I haven't laughed so hard at a physical comedic bit by a woman since Melissa McCarthy's diarrhea-ing down a sink in Bridesmaids.

That's because he's a nutcase.

I agree, I couldn't stand the younger brother, he was so irritating and the whole "younger brother bullies his older brother" schtick wore a little thin.

It wasn't the original, but it sure wasn't "Vegas Vacation", either.

While I wish I could say it was hilarious throughout, the only scene I liked was with Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann. I hope they do make a sequel but with new writers and Chevy Chase back in the spot light even though he's a little too old now... Reunion Vacation?
Sadly, Chevy Chase is no longer funny. I used to think he was fantastic in the original Vacations films and the Fletch films but he seems to have lost the "magic". That's just me though. I'd be fine not seeing him in any more Vacation films. Beverly D'Angelo though, man I couldn't recognize her at all. At the risk of being accused of "shaming" I'm really put off by actresses who get such obvious cosmetic surgery. I realize it's tough for aging actresses, but me and everyone I know think it's better to see a woman aging naturally and gracefully.

Not only does it open with the flying "break-apart" WB logo, but there are several little moments that look intended for 3D gags.
Like that scene with Chris Hemsworth? LOL.

I also went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Sure, it was pretty crude at times but that's how comedies are these days. It's actually refereshing it didn't shy away from going for the R rating. Certainly the original Vacation and Christmas Vacation are the gold standard (Christmas has taken on a life of its own anyway so it's almost like it's not part of the series), but I would say this film is the equal of European and probably better than the anemic Vegas.

That's not for 3D, that is the new New Line Cinema leader. Now that New Line Cinema is officially under Warner, it starts with the Warner shield then breaks into the New Line Cinema film strip. Before New Line Cinema was simply distributed by Warner so their leader was just the film strip.

It was pretty bad.. a few laughs and watchable. The Ferrari joke was the funniest - but it was already done in Family Guy?

The little brother was annoying, I think they got the tone wrong in this, the original series is no where near as crass.

I don't get the hate for Vegas Vacation, i like it and rate it higher than European Vacation.

Hotel Hell Vacation (short) (2010) was better than Vacation (2015) IMO

This may be the wrong place for this question, if so please direct me to the correct one. I see Best Buy has this Blu-Ray combo for 12.99 this week including Digital Copy. It seems more and more 'Digital Copies' are starting to work with iTunes and Google Play. None of the movies ever say Google Play on the back, but if they say iTunes it seems to give you the choice of Vudu, iTunes and Google Play. This Blu-Ray doesn't say that, even on sale I don't want to buy it if I can't include in my digital library. Does anyone know any different? Is there a guide to which movies digital versions will work on Google Play etc.? Thank you!

How come the back doesn't mention the Georgia featurette? I was close to buying a European copy but in the last second decided to look again if it was missing something, which it indeed is, the Georgia featurette.
